'You don't need God anymore, you have us democrats.' - Nancy Pelosi (said back in 2006) pappybigtuna

Actually the very first thing that the Directoir's of France did during the late 18th century was to remove the virgin mary from Notre Dame and replace her with " Our lady of Reason". No wonder I love the French. Oh and they are about 75% NON-beleivers today!

  • pappybigtuna1 Nov 6, 4:49 p.m.

Here are a few things you need to read before you vote:
(went back and looked these up):

'You don't need God anymore, you have us democrats.'
    - Nancy Pelosi (said back in 2006)

'Bill is the greatest husband and father I know. No one is more faithful, true, and honest than he.'
    - Hillary Clinton (said back in 1998)
    post Monica

'I have campaigned in all 57 states.
    - Barack Obama

' America is--is no longer, uh, what it--it, uh, could be, uh what it was once was...uh, and I say to myself, 'uh, I don't want that future, uh, uh for my children.' ''
    - Barack Obama

'The next Person that tells me I'm not religious, I'm going to shove my rosary beads up their rear. - Joe Biden

Sleep well tonight, it may be your last for a while

  • NCMom1 Nov 6, 4:01 p.m.

wd43stp123 - "I voted at Chavis Community center on Friday. Nearly all of the voters had a yellow piece of paper in hand. I picked one up (that was left in the polling place…..) and found it was a prefilled out, prioritized sample ballot. 1. Obama 2. Straight Democrat 3 and 4 were judges. These were not being handed outside the polling place and were obviously obtained ahead of time."

wd43stp123, sounds like same or similar fliers for republicans AND democrats that were handed out during every election. Many people left their fliers instead of throwing them away when they were done.

I'm just glad the constant onslaught of tv ads and telephone calls will end. If you wish to complain about the next president, make sure to vote. If you don't, you have no right to complain about the results.

  • IndependentAmerican Nov 6, 10:59 a.m.

Interesting experience this morning. I handed my voter registration card to the poll worker; he refused to look at it, saying I must state my name and address. So does this disenfranchise those voters who are mute and can't speak?

  • Barely Nov 6, 10:59 a.m.

You aren't supposed to be able to vote if you are drunk, but I've seen one or two people over the years that were trashed.

"Democrats, the party of "Blame Bush" Damien Thorne

"GOP, the party of "Deny that Bush had anything at all to do with it"-----onepilot61

Bush did not. Perhaps if you care to look you can actually find where this stuff started. Like loosening regulations on housing purchases, forcing companies to take bad debts and forcing lenders to give loans to unqualified applicants. Lots of little things like that led to what we have now, which is where Obama and Acorn come into play, and Clinton putting pressure on the banks for the loans.

It has been coming for a while, people cannot see past their own partisanship though.

    Let's see the whole context:

"God gave me a brain and I intend to use it wisely. I am a Democrat so now you have an idea what direction I will be taking."--charmcclainlovesdogs2

Yes, you will be voting for the party of hatred, the ones that want gay marriage, late term abortions, and of taking your tax dollars to give to people too lazy to make their own money. The party of Government with no personal freedom. Gratz on your vote."-----Damien Thorne

That would seem to say "The party of Government with no personal freedom."

Where did gay marriage come into the personal freedom part? That part was posted to someone talking about god. Perhaps you should play a different game as reading comprehension is not your forte....

  • Hill55 Nov 6, 8:30 a.m.

Remember this when you vote, the promises made by Barack Obama in 2008 to fix the economy. Remember his 100 rounds of golf, lavish vacations, squandered billions on crony capitalism projects like Solandra.

And remember how he failed those Americans in Benghazi and the subsequent lies.

  • Plenty Coups Nov 5, 6:16 p.m.

"Danny I've read the transcripts and your quote is wrong. Obama never said it wan't a terrorist atttack."

He and the other conservative blowhards on here never admit when they're wrong and never use evidence to back up their wild statements. No one believes them unless it's people who desperately want to believe the other side is guilty of...something...anything.

  • Huey Nov 5, 5:55 p.m.

Abraham Lincoln said “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” Our country has been divided for so long now that I do wonder if it can ever come together again. Whatever the results of tomorrow's elections, some will reject them. Some will call for violence I fear. Many in America cannot engage in civil discussion. Many are too ignorant. Many are too emotional. I do hope I am wrong and that the election goes smoothly and the world will see us in a good light, regardless of who wins. If not then we all lose.

How does gay marriage take away freedoms??????

  • Ilovemyboys Nov 5, 5:03 p.m.

ForeignDevil - I'm assuming you were being sarcastic with your statement regarding gay marriage because I can't think of any reason allowing it is 'hateful' or takes away personal freedoms.

  • hpr641 Nov 5, 5:02 p.m.

If you are a God-fearing person, please also pray for this election.

I keep wonder what those that are against a rape exception to abortion should have said ... I think they should've simply said "When a woman is carrying a newborn baby, society has a clear moral duty to protect both. Likewise, I believe a pregnant woman is also carrying a child. Let's now find out if my opponent agrees."

  • ForeignDevil Nov 5, 4:42 p.m.

"or just plain smart. Anyone not male, white, evangelical and wealthy would have to be insane to vote for the GOP."-----Grand Union

Yes, the only group that the democrats loathe. Terrorists who have killed people in the US are more than welcome into the Democrat party, but these normal people are not. I am sure that if Obama could have found a way to blame Benghazi on them he would have done so.

I cannot believe that anyone religious would be in the democrat party. Just look at how they got booed when they added God back into their platform, the spokesman had to lie and put it in there.

  • babbleon Nov 5, 4:24 p.m.

You need to know that obama recently said,"Vote out of revenge." and his advisor, ...I have never heard a prez who was so hateful.
    Danny22

exact quote: "Don't boo [the GOP], vote! Voting is the best revenge."

It's a variation of 'living well is the best revenge', ie, be the best, happiest person you can be and let go of the anger.

Romney's out of context bull and 'jeep to China' bull is getting pretty sad. He's flailing, looking for something to make stick. Not presidential at all.

Now CBS "60 minutes" yesterday released obama statements and video that he "didn't know whether it was terrorist" or not. Let me help this poor civilian out. You or the MSM does not have enough foreign policy facts to come close to making an opinion. Your "non-MSM" has you confused. I served. Remember all the noise about $17Tr is because Bush never put a penny of the Wars, the Taxcuts or Medicare Drug benefit on the budget EVER!!

So all that spending, plus a financial catastrophe welcomed Obama on Jan 21 2009.

He's done a great job and things would have been SO MUCH better if the GOP would have worked to help the country Like Christie did after the storm instead of obstructing everything.

    But that's all history now...

AWakeMom: FYI -- yes, even in combat I paid taxes

Me: I don't know what to say. The below is directly from the IRS website. Those in combat zones are not required to pay taxes on their income.

A-2: Yes, if you serve in a combat zone as an enlisted person or as a warrant officer (including commissioned warrant officers) for any part of a month, all your military pay received for military service that month is excluded from gross income.
