If Christians showed up to vote, Romney would win in a landslide. Only 25% of Christians vote, but I don't think it's because they are putting their faith in Jesus to make things work out according to His plan. In fact, I believe it's because they aren't acting out their faith at all. There is no way that Christians should be voting for the Democratic platform...unless they look to a political party for their sustenance rather than God. The Democratic platform is anti-God, anti-Christ, anti-American, anti-family, anti-jobs, anti-business...it's just a product of Satan.

"Not sure how reliable any polls really are, but seems like a poll that asks 1223 likely voters questions and 38% of them refer to themselves as Strongly Democrat or Democrat as opposed to 28% Strongly Republican or Republican would be skewed and not covered in the margin of error."

Actually polls usually mirror the registrations, so for example in NC at this point in time the electorate is composed of basically 43% democrats, 31% republican and 26% independent so along those lines the 38% to 28% who were surveyed and with the margin of error, is about right.

  • arfamr1007 Oct 30, 3:38 p.m.

"Name one bill the Dems passed between 06-08 that caused unemployment and the crash." - corgi

They didn't need to pass bills, the demonization in 2008 by Democrats of anything private destroyed the business confidence and thus the hiring for the next two years. Why do you think the market tanked in anticipation of an Obama win in 2008? It wasn't until a balance in Congress was struck by the 2010 elections that the economy even began to come back.

It seems they come here and desperately want to make us a mirror of the tyrannical hell hold from which they were fortunate enough to escape. I would think it would be the other way around where they would embrace and cherish the freedoms we provide in the United States. However, one of those freedoms includes the right for you to continue spewing your liberal talking points.

Yep, nothing like moving to a different country and whinning about how things should be. Of course if their own country was worth a darn they would never be here in the first place.

"Your rewrite of history is astounding. Reagan inherited the Jimmy Carter years, with 20% interest rates, bad economy and high debt to be funded."

The recession after Carter wasn't as bad as W's. Carter wasn't been fighting 2 wars and had tax cuts not paid for. Reagan hired a lot of govt workers. The GOP laid off govt workers. Comparing the 2 is like apples and oranges.

"Bush inherited a recession, a looming 9/11, the dotcom bust and the resulting decrease in tax revenue. After the tax reduction, jobs climbed by 5 million in the next three years"
    retroconsultant

Again, the recession W dealt with was not nearly as bad. Name one bill the Dems passed between 06-08 that caused unemployment and the crash. The only reason W had job growth was the housing bubble created by deregulation. And we know how that ended.

As for 9/11-W wasted a golden moment to really bring the world together but he invaded Iraq and that was maybe the worst foreign policy failure in modern times.

"neither (Bush and Reagan) had anything even close to the Great Recession to deal with." - Grand Union

Really? Your rewrite of history is astounding. Reagan inherited the Jimmy Carter years, with 20% interest rates, bad economy and high debt to be funded. He also inherited a foreign policy even worse than Obama's.

Bush inherited a recession, a looming 9/11, the dotcom bust and the resulting decrease in tax revenue. After the tax reduction, jobs climbed by 5 million in the next three years, until the Dems took over Congress and the downslide began.

  • camperzsale Oct 30, 11:49 a.m.

    @ grand union.
It is not looking good for the president here in NC. I base that on the fact that a few pollsters pulled out of NC early confidently declaring a Romney victory and taking their resources to other states.

    A post on Breitbart today
My pal Guy Benson found a juicy nugget that helps to bring more clarity to the news from Gallup yesterday that shows Romney leading Obama in the early vote by a full seven points, 52-45%. Almost exactly four years ago (October 28, 2008), according to Gallup, Obama was massacring John McCain among early voters with a fifteen-point lead, 55-40%. That means, at least according to Gallup, that Obama's early vote advantage has dropped 22 points when compared to '08.

Benson also notes that the percentage of voters who have or intend to vote early was 33% in 2008 and remains at 33% today. As Don Surber said in this tweet, "People don't wait in line to vote for the status quo[.]"

The compliant media has their orders to make this look good

What a non-sense statement. I was born and bred here, and obviously have more sense then you. If you want to point fingers, look at our Dow in October of 2007 - highest ever, 50 plus straight months of job growth, unemployment around 4.7%. Then, the Democrats took over Congress in January 2007... if you do your research about what caused this mess to begin with, you might be surprised as to what lead up to it.

  • CicnyKid Oct 30, 11:04 a.m.

May want to inform the Obama camp about this. According to Dems, here's the deal:

"Democratic strategist Paul Begala, asked by CNN's Wolf Blitzer if the Obama campaign has given up on North Carolina, said "Yes. I'm not supposed to say that Wolf. I work for the pro-Obama super PAC, so I'm being paid to help reelect the president, but if you look at where he's going and where he's spending money, yes, it looks like Governor Romney is likely to carry North Carolina."

AH now its clear. You need laws to tell you not to do drugs. You libs need gov for just about everything dont you? Next you'll need a law to tell you not to eat McDonalds. When does it end? I dont need a law to tell me not to drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, or do drugs. I know that on my own. I dont need laws. Drug prohibition does nothing but promote bath salts, K2, and whatever drug killed that poor kid in Apex labeled "LSD". More people die from the war on drugs than the actual drugs themselves. PLease learn to survive without the gov telling you whats good or bad for you. Thats the first step for a recovering lib.

I don't know I have a problem watching a man who is our president make lies about Mitt Romney on National TV. Check out the video of Dave Letterman admitting that Obama lied and Romney told the truth and the video of Candy admitting that she was wrong and Obama and she lied and Romney told the truth. And then watching our President lie on national tv to everyone saying that he did not know that Libya was a terrorist attach and he lied for 2 weeks and then blamed Hillary that he was not told. Yeah right. It time for an impeachment or resignation. I look forward to the day when we have an honest man representing me in the White House!

"So Obama didn't sign any tax cuts? Then what is he doing advertising that he cut taxes for the middle class? Something isn't right here."

Obama continue the W era tax cuts in their entirety when the GOP in Congress would not let them be dropped on the wealthy (ie the GOP was willing to let the Poor and middle class pay more rather than let the rich pay what they wouldn't even notice....) and he cut the Social security tax as a stimulus that would most help those that needed it most and in a way that the rich would not just salt the savings away in the cayman islands or invest in China.

  • georgerab2010 Oct 30, 9:35 a.m.

BS propaganda!!! W was in office for 8 years and raised the debt by 1 trillion, O has been in office for 4 years and has raised the debt by over 4 trillion and every day it goes up over 1 million per day. W gas prices were 1.80 O gas prices are at 3.80... W unemployment between 5 to 7.8, O 7.8 for two months the rest of the time around 9 - 10 percent. It is not rocket science people if you folks want jobs when you graduate from college we need a change.
