    A few things.

First, I cant tell if those ate bruises or if they are birth marks and despite searching, I can find no other pics of her left arm at any other point in time.

Second, I do not know why there is not more outrage in the CH community.

Third, I hope so much for the ones who love Faith, that this is solved very, very soon.

  • awood2 Oct 9, 2:58 p.m.

I hope they find whoever did this to her.

  • Lamborghini Mercy Oct 9, 12:08 p.m.

Is this his ex-girlfriend with three bruises on her arm? Also, he tweeted earlier that morning at 5:43am which could open the doors to place him at the crime scene.

I don't mind the roomie leaving the state (I would certainly have brought my daughter back home after all of that) but I do find it strange that she doesn't speak out more, but can be from to a lot of 'pressure'

  • NiceNSmooth Oct 9, 11:40 a.m.

don't read so much into the 'rapper' part, it's more about his ties to the 'CarHill' community and the fact that his 'issues' with the ex were swept away, which could be the bigger issue in this case b/c of the implications to LEO

interesting....and might explain why the roomate has left the state?

  • Lamborghini Mercy Oct 9, 11:18 a.m.

who was the lady being abused?

  • buford Oct 9, 11:15 a.m.

    @Ven...very interesting...

  • Tarheel born Oct 9, 11:05 a.m.

So, it wasn't random, but there is a reward for info. Those two don't go hand in hand.
    TarHeel4Real

And you know this because you're a seasoned Criminal Investigator or D.A.? I think not. They most certainly do go together to help strengthen a case and bring new evidence to light.

Are you on drugs? As usual yes. This case is about an unsolved murder of a young woman through no fault of her own. And by the way this message board is for adults who can actually read the story and comment.

The ex is a rapper from Chapel Hill

  • Lamborghini Mercy Oct 9, 10:51 a.m.

change2012 - What I dont get is, if they know that the friend ex-boyfriend is the the suspect then why not arrest him.

We'll first they need strong evidence that he committed the crime to properly charge and convict him.

  • buford Oct 9, 10:45 a.m.

found this article with the names of roommate and ex-boyfriend

  • NiceNSmooth Oct 9, 10:40 a.m.

This bright young women trying to do the right and provide a helping hand was murdered. A previous poster says it is a wealthy person with juice involved as the perpetrator, let us not be swayed when prosecuting.

what if the roomate did it?

  • NiceNSmooth Oct 9, 10:39 a.m.

pretty sure wral is blocking form using names (I've tried) but it's pretty easy to find. The guy actually has fairly significant ties to the community (though you have to dig to find it), which gives him access to strong legal rep and influence. Keep in mind though, that if it is him, what local LEO/Courts are going to have to deal with by sweeping the restraining orders (and subsequently transparency of information) under the rug, perhaps a direct correlation to the death of an innocent person...compounding what has already been a nightmarish PR year for UNC and the area (not good for business)

oh I found him...an up an coming rapper signed to major record label

  • change2012 Oct 9, 10:29 a.m.

What I dont get is, if they know that the friend ex-boyfriend is the the suspect then why not arrest him or at least find him as a person of interest. Is there a name for this young man?

Did you actually READ the article? I'm guessing not, so I'll sum it up in short, easy sentences for you: She helped friend get away from abusive relationship. She and that friend lived in an apartment together. She was murdered in that apartment. Abusers are controlling and not likely to let their victim get away easily, and may hurt anyone who gets in their way.

PS - It has nothing to do with "charity" and if nothing else shows she was a caring person. She is a murder victim and charity is not a contest.

Seems like they're grasping for connections. I hope they find the guy who did it. It's a shame that person is still walking free.

I seriously hope that they catch the person who murdered this young woman very soon. To think that her life might have been snuffed out because she tried to help a friend in danger makes this case even sadder, if that is even possible.

  • Lamborghini Mercy Oct 9, 9:48 a.m.

Why don't women that decide to help their friends in a abusive relationship tell there guy friends so they can help????

  • TarHeel4Real Oct 9, 9:36 a.m.

  • NCSU84 Oct 9, 9:36 a.m.

must be that abusive ex bf of her roommate! He is the prime suspect.

  • mys1983 Oct 9, 9:19 a.m.

Prozac- a young lady was murdered in her home. she tried to help her friend get out of an abusive situation, the two circumstances could be related. That is the point of the story and the headline.

Its in relation to a murder investigation, are you really that dense?

  • iknowjack Oct 9, 9:05 a.m.

The best restraining orders are issued by Glock and Smith&Wesson. That along with constant situational awareness.

  • packalum09 Oct 9, 9:02 a.m.

Perhaps the man came looking for her friend and found her instead...

  • The Oracle Oct 9, 8:48 a.m.

I read about this in the N&O --- several days ago.

  • hmmmmm Oct 9, 8:48 a.m.

The abuser did it...she helped get her friend away from him, and therefore took away his control. They are most dangerous when their partner tries to leave. He blamed her and decided to get even. Probably figures he'll get the girlfriend back now, because she'll do it to protect her loved ones.

random act or not...the killer is still out there

  • Southern Girl Oct 8, 7:12 p.m.

The report keeps saying that "this was not a random act." How do they know this? How do they know that a killer is out there and he could do it again?

This is coming together, it seems. Restraining orders do a lot of harm it seems. Hope they find something soon.

  • Tax Man Oct 8, 6:56 p.m.

That restraining order should be public record - WRAL who is the man named in it?????

  • tsquaring Oct 8, 6:45 p.m.

I hope that didn't have anything to do with her death. Often times a restraining order only makes things worse.

  • caroexc Oct 8, 6:45 p.m.

the DA probably knows. Establishing a concrete case especially in Chapel Hill w/ students whose access to high profile attorneys is far more prevalent than elsewhere, it is imperative for the DA to be certain, with no reversable error.

  • monami Oct 8, 6:14 p.m.

Does this mean they haven't told the family the cause of death? This must be so difficult for the family. My heart goes out to them.

  • dollibug Oct 8, 5:53 p.m.

Let's just hope and pray that the investigators do a good job....which is really important....instead of destroying what might be vital evidence....there is so much corruption and cover up....and it seems like people are not trained properly or understand the process....I hope these people will find the right person who committed this crime....

  • RockGuitar Oct 8, 5:44 p.m.

I don't understand how we still know nothing about what happened to this young woman, other than she was found dead in her room. I hope the investigators find out exactly what happened and let us know what we're dealing with.
