Can't "curl up and nap", have to work for those who want(won't)!

"You guys go ahead and "curl up and nap", the rest of us will be at work..." IHeartThe1Percent

"Glad SOMEeone doesn't have anything else to do.........." ellengraham5660

Hate to break it to you folks, but not everyone works a Monday through Friday, 9-5 job. If they did, the world would shut down. No restaurants, retail stores, movie theaters, grocery stores, hospitals, police & fireman, airport employees... there are HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of people who don't work a "standard" work day for various reasons. Be thankful for every last one of them because society needs every last one of them.

Just because YOU are at work during the day doesn't mean that someone who isn't doesn't work just as hard (or harder) and pay just as much (or more) in taxes. Pepe Silvia October 8, 2012 4:21 p.m. Report abuse

Their TV tells them no one works. Just like their TV tells them who to vote for. Do you really think people want to vote for Obama or Romney? No thats who their TV tells them can win and

"If you've never been to our coast in the fall, it's really special."

The mountains ain't too shabby either. My basement is now down to 62 degrees.......time to make a couple of batches of beer.

Glad SOMEeone doesn't have anything else to do..........

"Decided this morning to make the house smell good. Beef tips are in the crock pot-tonight will be a great meal for a wet, cold day!!"

Mix in a nice crackling fire.......

This weather doesn't bother me any more than the 95 degree or 35 degree days do. I've got a pile of wood that needs splitting and some trees to plant. The ground will be nice and soft.

Rebel-we leave at 5AM Friday for Portsmouth Island. I hope the "big croakers" better known as Red Drum start to move up and down that beach! I've caught many a croaker and bluefish, but never a red drum.

When a big front like this comes thru, it stimulates the mullets to start migrating south(mullet blow)-and following the mullets are all the big drum and blues feeding up for the winter.

Bleak cold days like today will yield to a few beautiful days to spend at the fair or at the coast. Aren't we blessed in NC to have so many wonderful opportunities???

I'm in training classes today and tomorrow. Today's class got out early, so 'curl up and nap' was on my agenda even before I saw this article.

Wow...that was almost cool how politics just slid right on into the weather thread.... LOL...

(insert sarcasm font here)I love election year...
