If the truth be known, I'll bet he was asked to resign because he told the board that he made a mistake by voting for Obama in '08. By refusing to march in lockstep(pun)politically with the rest of the UNC campus it was time for him to go.

Nice guy, bright guy, horrible CEO.

Should have fired Davis a year earlier.

"Of course not, the reality is that they demanded his resignation." - westernwake1

I very much doubt that this happened. The BOT would not be asking him to reconsider if the BOG had asked him to resign.

Good. He doesn't need to change his mind.

Ross should be a afraid that he might be next!

Trying to talk Holden out of retiring? Very interesting...In a related story, we are trying to put Borock Hussein Obama back in office.

I remember a smart famous person who said North Carolina is beginning to look like Mississippi. I totally agree with her opnion.

So, the decision is final. I think it is the right one. Can we move on now - everything has been said, over and over again.

So glad Coach Williams is out of the hospital.

Wolfspeaking here, but as far as Holden Thorp is concerned, let it go. I dare say he was handcuffed by a combination of Ram's Club, Board of Governors and Board of Trustee members.

Focus on them.

Good.
