Village Grill has like an 80 inch tv over the bar...very to Tobacco rd for me as well

Overtime is the BEST. I have not eaten anything there that I didn't like. They have the best house salads (homemade ranch), loaded cheese fries, chicken quesadilla, shrimp po boy wrap, lobster bisque.... I could go on and on. Best food at a bar that I have ever had!

Village Draft House at Cameron Village? about a 100 beers and a couple dozen flat screens. Have you seen this place on a Sunday in the fall?

We LOVE Overtime Sports Pub! Their service is excellent, ALWAYS. Very consistent good quality food, great prices. Lots of TV's.

Thanks for the comment, Jamie Lynn! We're happy to have OT on the list!

The Overtime Sports Pub Staff is very excited to be on this list!!! Thank you WRAL for recognizing us as the friendly neighborhood sports bar we strive to be!

I'm glad to see OT make the list. It's a great gem in East Raleigh. One great thing, is that it has that "Cheers" feel to it.
It's a great place to meet your friends and meet new ones. The comfort one feels at OT will surely turn you into a regular.
You can't beat the great, friendly staff that will greet you by name and most times have you served before you even sit down.
I like the vast amount of activities that range from Open Mike Nite, Live Bands, Karaoke, Trivia, Poker but best of all it's a great place to watch sporting events. Plenty of great TVs, delicious food, cold drinks, awesome staff, friendly faces and good management makes OT my favorite hang out in Raleigh.

Rally Point in Cary, McGregor Draft House, and Backyard Bistro get my top votes!

Tobacco Road is the sorriest excuse for a sports bar that I have ever seen. A sports bar is supposed to be somewhere you can kick back and Tobacco Road is way too uptight. WRAL folks need to get over this place and stop putting it on their top 5 lists. Hey Jodi, get a clue.

Add me to the list that does not care for the Ale House chain. I much prefer the various Taprooms around the area. A much better beer selection as far as local brews that the Ale Houses.

kikinc I'm with you, I do not like the Carolina Ale House. I love O'Mulligans in WF. It's a small bar as well and the staff is wonderful. The food is great and so is the atmosphere.

  • kikinc Feb 14, 2012

I'm not a fan of the Carolina Ale House. I'm not a chain type of person. I'd rather go to the small bar, preferably an Irish pub type of place. You get to know the staff that way.

What about Rally Point in Cary?

  • Gerbil Herder Feb 14, 2012

    I think I liked Sammy's more when it was a Shoney's.

  • tjdebord Feb 14, 2012

How could you not include Sammy's on Avent Ferry Rd.? That's an awesome, iconic place, and more flat screens than you can shake a stick at. Great food and drink!
