I agree ncpilot2, if only our elected officials would take lessons from this beautiful, kind-hearted, humble soul! I love hearing about him every year and think his story should be at the top of the page. He has earned it! There aren't many that have that kind of dedication out there and I am proud that he still supports what the American dream truly is! Keep loving those bikes and children!! We love you "Bicycle Man"!!

This is so great! Much better than giving to the Salvation Army. Please don't give your money to that organization or people that raise money/items for them.

This is such a good man! I love stories like this.

Beth

Outstanding man working for God, If I offended you by the word GOD, o well, i do not care. Wish I could find a building for him to use, a permanent place.

The bicycleman link has a link for donations. I just donated and it takes less than a minute. While prayers for blessings are (I'm sure) appreciated. Let's all kick in and make it so this man can continue his good works with access to the warehouse/workshop space he needs.

Finally a positive story from the black community. Keep going strong sir you deserve it. Thank you for being a shinig light for that community!!!!!!!!

I remember this guy from when I was a kid growing up in Fayetteville. He does this every year. His support level grows every year. He represents what America used to be.

Quote from wakemom: "a very nice touching story of a man and only 18 comments. smh.."

I'm smh too. Also have you noticed that the people who come on here to bicker and complain are strangely absent?

Anyway, God bless Mr. Mathis and may his work continue for many years.

If I had access to a place, I'd give it to him! Mr. Moses, thank you for being God's angel. You've certainly earned your place in heaven and are living proof that the spirit of Christmas still exists in this world of turmoil.

This is a good man doing good things. The link above sends you to his website where you can donate money and old bikes."

He's probably take old bike parts too.
