Bars and pubs are the way to go ,since people like to drink their problems and nervousness and embarrassments away instead of facing them head on....Drink your fears away, for a few moments then welcome back to reality and everything is just as you left it and maybe worse snce you can't understand you don't drink and drive.

Anyone who is starting a bar/restaurant would do well to emulate the CAH plan. They didn't try to get too big too fast and now they are reaping the benefits. It will be great to have them at Glenwood & Tucker to show the posers at Tobacco Road what sports and food are all about.

A Carolina Ale House in Greensboro would be awesome. There are pretenders, but they are no where near as good as Carolina!

  • keifer21012 Feb 15, 4:21 p.m.

Any chance you can come to Garner?

  • ILoveDowntownRaleigh Feb 15, 4:03 p.m.

Their Yelp rating went down the toilet. -aspenstreet1717

Do people really look at the Yelp rating?

but of the 800 they claim, how many will provide medical, 401K, paid vacations. We need jobs that provide a little more security than discounted food and beverage as a benefit. - Mr Davis

    Happy much?

  • imback Feb 15, 3:06 p.m.

Yuck. Ale House is just another over priced salt lick restaurant.

  • Skywatch_NC Feb 15, 2:40 p.m.

Wake Forest Ale House is my favorite...

    Same here

Any jobs are good at this point, but of the 800 they claim, how many will provide medical, 401K, paid vacations. We need jobs that provide a little more security than discounted food and beverage as a benefit.

They used to be great. Daily lunch specials good daily drink specials. That all disappeared a couple of years ago. Their Yelp rating went down the toilet.

It's sad when a bar can creat more jobs then the goverment COOPER SHELDON COOPER

i sure hope you aren't like that mitt rmoney character who said government can't create jobs and then turned around in the same debate and said i have a plan when i'm president that will create (fill in the blank) number of jobs...

  • ssi Feb 15, 1:20 p.m.

Cooper, I see the point you're making, but in my opinion it's better when the private sector (instead of the government) creates a job. This administration, however, seems to believe otherwise.

  • Minarchist Feb 15, 11:03 a.m.

I use to frequent the Ale House next to the Longbranch. The service was great. The food was so-so. The Brier Creek location seems small to me and hard to move in. Maybe its just me.

  • nic6977 Feb 15, 11:02 a.m.

  • keeter Feb 15, 10:27 a.m.

With over 20 locations you think they would have figured out customer service by now...

  • aspenstreet1717 Feb 15, 10:17 a.m.

Carolina Ale House used to be a favorite of mine. They got too big and went down hill over the past 3-4 years. I stopped going there for lunch 2 years ago.

  • A Pack Fan Feb 15, 10:16 a.m.

Awesome location for the new one. I am sure they will do well..

  • 4Strikes Feb 15, 10:16 a.m.
