According to the Durham Police Department, a juvenile was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting Tuesday on South Street. The investigation is ongoing and officers believe the shooting is an isolated incident.

I live in Roanoke Rapids and had a Cedar tree come down in my yard. My husband was in the hospital, so I didn't know how I was going to get the tree removed. The NC Baptist Men Disaster Relief showed up at my door to help.  When they started, I had a downed Cedar tree.  When they finished, I had a beautiful cedar cross on my front lawn.
