Here are my totals and great deals for the shopping trip on Wednesday morning:

As you can see in the photo above, I bought a combination of healthy and organic foods and total junk. The girls are home for the summer, which means there is a steady stream of teenagers coming in and out of my house every day. And they like to eat - especially the boys! So I did a little stocking up on snacks today.

The Frito-Lay products were an amazing buy. The party size are on sale BOGO for $2.49 each. Frito Lay sent me an envelope of coupons last week because I called them when I received a coupon from a recent Frito Lay contest that was already expired. So they sent me one coupon for a free Frito Lay product up to $4.99, a $1/1 coupon and a .55/1 coupon. Today I used the free product coupon to get one for free and the $1/1 coupon to get one for .49. The total for 2 bags of party size chips was .49. The teens will be happy.

I also had free product coupons for the Lean Cuisine and the Gatorade bar from a recent Catalina register coupon (Gatorade bar) and from the manufacturer because of a quality issue I called them about a couple weeks ago (Lean Cuisine).

The Nutrigrain bars and the Rice Krispies Treats were great deals with the $1/1 coupons from KelloggsFamilyRewards.com because I cashed in reward points for them. They both doubled making the products only .50 each.

I was also very happy about the So Delicious Coconut milk. It's on sale for $2.49 but with the $1/1 coupon from 5/15 RP, it's only .49! The regular price is $3.49.

Another deal worth mentioning is the Dr. Pepper 6 packs of bottles. They are on sale BOGO for $2.49 each. Many of the 6-packs had peelie coupons on them for $1/1. The coupon indicates Do Not Double and it did NOT double at the register so the total is $1.50 - a good buy for a 6-pack of soda.

And of course, who would complain about FREE butter, FREE Powerbars, FREE Tropicana lemonade, FREE Suave shampoo, 14 cent pads, 50 cent Organic Whole Fruit bars, 79 cent 4-packs of Light & Fit yogurt and $1 frozen yogurt?!

Subtotal before sale and coupons: $93.74

Amount saved: $87.49

Amount paid: $6.25

% saved: 93%

Thank you Harris Teeter!

Reminder; To get the % saved, add up the total paid and the Coupons Tendered numbers on your receipt. That gives you the subtotal before sales and coupons. Then take the Coupons tendered number divided by the subtotal before sales and coupons to get the % saved.

Using my totals above, I took $87.49 divided by $93.74 = .9333 (93%)

Good luck on your shopping trips this week!
