Last day of Super Doubles!

Posted April 19, 2016

Super Doubles groceries

Today is the last day of the Harris Teeter Super doubles promotion.

Here's the place to share your Harris Teeter Super Doubles register totals, favorite deals and shopping experiences.

Let's hear it - How did you do?

Here are my totals:

Total before sales and coupons: $90.68

Amount paid $1.99

Amount saved: $88.69

That's a 97% savings so I am a happy girl! Thank you Harris Teeter!

I used a manufacturer coupon for every item and a $3 CVS Extrabucks reward as a competitor's coupon. You can see everything I bought in the photo above. Basically for the price of one Secret deodorant on sale, I got everything else for free!

You can see where I got the coupons for the items in the Super Doubles deals list at the link above.

I went to the Fuquay/Garner location on 1010 road and Hwy 401 at about 7:30 (after dropping my daughter off at school) and it was not busy at all. The shelves were fully stocked! I expected the early morning rush to clear out the freebies as usual but I got everything I wanted.

Thank you again Harris Teeter!

I received one of those customer service surveys at the end of the receipt to fill out online and did it as soon as I got home. My cashier was Ursula (who always rocks!) and everyone there was so nice. It was a fabulous 1st day of super doubles. I hope your super doubles experiences this week are successful as well.

I went to HT this morning and bought $98.60 worth of stuff for $20.38. That's a 79% savings and that included Tide, OxiClean (using BOGO rain check), Jose Ole (using BOGO rain check), sabra hummus, chicken breasts, salmon burgers (BOGO for $3.50 in meat/seafood dept), Smart Ones meals, Pillsbury biscuits and more! Thank you Harris Teeter for another super event!

carelesswhisper - that is such an awesome deal!! I picked up 1 today (only had 1 coupon) and 2 Oxiclean for .25 each using BOGO raincheck and $2 coupon. Love cheap laundry detergent. Certainly can't make it for only a quarter.

I got 2 bottles of Tide for .27. I only paid tax.

^Thank you. That last sentence is key....Do not microwave. Funny because the Aunt Jemina frozen pancakes I have Do allow microwaving.

Got a smile instead of a frown on my face after an unexpected arrival of some stock at the store I went to. They had been out of the Gain and the old Spice the other day. Did not expect to see it on the shelf but they had 2 of each! So not enough to last the day but enough for me. And they also had exactly 4 Totino's pizzas left and so I cleaned them out to take advantage of that deal. Lucked out on 3 items besides the other things I got like the 10 Chef Boyardee deal. Got a favor to ask of anyone who got the HT waffles evic deal and bought them. To save space in the freezer, i threw out the cartons. But I forgot to save one for the directions. If anyone could post the directions, I would appreciate it. Some can be microwaved and some have to be put in the oven.

Forgot to note that I'll also get $1 back from Checkout51 for Sunday's shopping, so actually $5.16 OOP. :-)

  • Faye Prosser -WRAL Smart Shopper Apr 18, 2016

Dr D - love the deals you found on Sunday! That's a fantastic total for all that stuff. Basically, you bought 1 Innovasian at regular price and got everything else for free! I am hoping to go once more tomorrow. Not sure there will be anything left, or that I will even make it, but it's worth a try . Thanks for posting.
