Do you have a favorite holiday cookie or other baked goodie that you love to make (or eat) every year? Here's the place to post the recipe so we can have a digital cookie swap!

Thanks to jdouglas for making this request: "Faye, can we have a post on favorite holiday cookies, ideally with recipes? And/or folks favorite holiday baked goods"

If you give me permission, I'll post your recipe in the WRAL Recipe Database so everyone can easily find it again.  The link to the database is in the box above.

If there is a link to your favorite recipe online, feel free to post the link instead of the entire recipe.

Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients
3 or 4 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar (can easily reduce to 3/4 cup)
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt

1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray or butter bottom of loaf pan. Mix butter and mashed bananas in a mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg and vanilla. Add baking soda and salt. Slowly mix in the flour. Pour mixture into loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes and then remove and cool on rack. Delicious served with cream cheese or Philadelphia Indulgence chocolate cream cheese.
