lwillis - GREAT job on working those points!! Super buys you got!

  • lwillis Aug 7, 3:37 p.m.

FYI, I had a load to card coupon on the Walgreens website that gave me 7,000 points for a purchase of $20 of more plus an additional 7,000 points for paying with a Visa card. So I was able to get 4 Crest toothpaste, 4 Dry Idea deodorants and 4 Ban Refresh cloths for $18 after using 2 Dry Idea coupons, 3 Crest coupons and 3 Ban coupons. I got $6 Register Rewards for the Crest products, $14,00 in points so it was a $2 moneymaker after the rewards and points!

ctondee31205 - I have not heard that but I will ask. Thanks for the heads up. Do you know which store said they would not take them anymore?

Has anyone heard about Food Lion NOT accepting competitor coupons ANYMORE? I used a Harris Teeter one last week with no problem..,...my sis in law went to use one today and they said an email went around to all the food lions saying it ended taking comp coupons on 7/31

Swagbucks users: Check your surveys. I just did a 5 minute survey for 75 SB points. It was super easy and credited immediately.

    Happy Saturday!

EM2S - My DH would live off off Hersey milk, Jif, and chocolate if I let him. I walked the same isle three times before I could find his Hersey syrup. I don't ever look for it. If you are in Cary, the store at Maynard Crossing was well stocked last night after being cleaned out a week ago. Anything off on gas is always a bonus.

Ascherer - I share your appreciation of the survey bonus points! They are very helpful, and the gasoline savings usually beat Costco's low pump price.

Thank you for mentioning the unadvertised deals! Looking forward to a Kroger stop today, as well. Glad the timing worked out for your family's 'restocking' needs :)

EM2S - Thanks. Oh well. I do the surveys each week I can, So, that is still a bonus.

I did find a few unadvertised buy 5 get $5 off deals. Jif peanut butter and Hersey syrup were two I was not aware of this week. The Coke and Charmin always get me in the door (somehow the two always run out together in our house). Hefty trash bags and Ziplocks were a welcome bonus this week.
