jdouglas - When I do the pinwheels again, I am going to make my own pimento cheese because it is thicker. We tried using Stan's which is my favorite but it was just to creamy.

Faye - there was so much going on this weekend. I'm glad you got to enjoy NC Got2B. We wanted to stop and see Wings over Wayne but were too late leaving New Bern.

alembi - thanks for posting the code!

I was at the NC Got2B festival sampling all kinds of yummy local stuff and buying a few things as well. :-)

marbec - I have not had any issues with my delivery coupons recently. Did they ever contact you or redeliver today?

Ascherer, I'm sorry the pimento cheese didn't work out for the wraps, but am so glad everything else was a hit! :) I agree with Losltp, love the pineapple top as the centerpiece.

I was all set to run out this afternoon for the last day of the FL 3 day sale on Diet Coke and then I saw that Dollar General has it on sale all this week, also 4/$10. Wanted to post in case anyone missed the FL sale.

Is anyone else having issues receiving their coupons in the Sunday paper? I get three Sunday papers so when I am missing an insert, it is pretty obvious. The last three weeks, two out of the three newspapers have been missing inserts. Three weeks ago, I only got one of the P&G and one Redplum. Last week I only got one Redplum, and today, out of the three newspapers, I only got one Smartsource insert. That is a 66.7% failure rate three weeks in a row, I have called N&O but thus far, no real response. Three weeks ago redelivered, last week credit, and today expecting a phone call. I can definitely say it's happening prior to delivery because, I am an early bird and have at least once picked up right after delivery. I live in the Quail Hollow area of Raleigh.

Yes, our friend won. Thanks for asking. He did have the best hospitality room but he also had the only one hosted by a woman that was not his wife. That does help.

The pinwheels work best when made ahead of time and wrapped in plastic wrap or wax paper. Put them in the fridge for awhile and cut them when they are cold. They hold together more that way. It is something that you get better at doing with practice.

    Your pinwheels sound delicious .
I am saving the idea now for a future attempt.
I have seen cookies ( maybe Christmas ?) called pinwheels so I wondered if you did those .
    Did your friend win ??

LOSLTP - we used ham, turkey, roast beef, cheddar, swiss, and provolone. Wraps were white, green and red. Picture any combination and I think we tried it. We did try pimiento cheese but that didn't work. The filling squeezed out the sides. Thanks for asking.

Haven't tried this, yet, but Hip2save mentioned a free Redbox code when you text SURPRISE to 727272 today or tomorrow. This is's official text number. If you are already a Redbox text member, you may need to text STOP to 727272, then text SURPRISE to 727272 again to get it to work. Apparently, the code will be active on Monday.
