As regards H-T shelves being bare during Stock-Up sales, I have repeatedly asked H-T to consider singles, seniors and 2-person households during Buy 2, Get 3 Free deals, particularly on perishables. We don't have the fridge/freezer space or hefty appetites. Just offer limited quantities on BOGO, and I'll be well-served with half-price on one item.

hankfan - thanks for posting! We have been chatting about it for a few days at the link below if you want to read everyone's thoughts about it. Definitely time to use those rain checks before end of day Tuesday if you have a good coupon to go with it.

Don't know if this has previously been mentioned but I just noticed a sign at my Harris Teeter - they are changing the rain check design to reduce fraud. All of the "old style" will only be valid until the end of May. Time for me to clean out my binder and use some of the deals I have been holding onto for a while.

WOW Raesmom, you found a lot of great clearance deals!

I second the suggestion to check clearance - never know what you might find! This week I found a twin 40-ct pkg. of Salada green tea for $3.82 on the clearance rack at the back of my Food Lion. There was no price shown for this item, so I just asked the cashier to scan it for me.

Not sure if anyone shops food Lion but be sure to check the clearance rack normally located in the back of the store. I purchased tilapia fillets in marinara (.56 each), honey citrus marinade (.62), Betty crocker strawberry cheesecake cookie mix (1.15), BC gingerbread cookie mix (.95), Pillsbury fingertips radiant red cake mix (1.03, they also had vibrant green for 1.05), lemon cheesecake bar mix (1.19), and a bag of lemon creme covered pretzels for Rae (.32). May go back tomorrow (alone) and see what else I can find.....Desserts are gonna be fun around here for a while :)
