jdouglas13 - I have been running SBTV all day and they are continuing to give me a 4 SB bonus SB's for every 10 videos (once I reached the max for the every 5). I've reached my first daily goal and am headed into the 2nd one now. Thanks Swagbucks! And SBTV is my favorite SB app to run. It seems to run best on my phone vs the other apps.

There was one app I ran today -- SBTV maybe?? Where I think I only had to watch 4 videos for 4 SB. I was glad to see that they've improved the apps. I haven't tried them in a while because they always used to cut out after a few minutes, but I've had them running most of the afternoon with no problems. :)

    Thanks for the link Faye!

VLYNN, actually, I think it's 15 videos to earn 2 SB (and sometimes it says "You're 15 videos away from earning 2 SB"). I run the videos while I'm doing something else, so it's not costing me any additional time to earn those few pennies. And while the official "limit" is 10 SB per app per day, I find that I typically earn at least 100 SB per day (which is how I calculated that a $30 phone will pay for itself in a month).

    :-)

senglish27529 re swagbucks apps: are all the other mobile apps besides the sbtv one set up so you have to watch 14 video clips before you earn anything?

Great idea Stephanie! And thanks for the reminder on the double points today for the apps. Running videos on my phone as I type. :-)

Jdouglas - here is the info from their website about the various apps you can download from the Play Store:

Thanks so much Stephanie! That does help a lot! :)

JDouglas, sure! To start with, we were using our *old* smartphones for the Swagbucks apps, rather than throwing them away, or donating them. Then they became really too old, since the apps would no longer work on that really old android version. :-) I began searching for a used smartphone, but it had to have a recent enough android version to make it better than what didn't work any more. Didn't have much luck with that, so I turned to new phones. For just under $30, I found a brand new Tracfone (DH and I both use Tracfone anyway) -- AND I bought it through SB Shop & Earn, so I'll get 330 SB back on the purchase. When the phone came in, I removed the SIM card, charged it up, and then connected it to my Google Play account. Voila! I downloaded the SB video apps (all 6), signed in, and have been off to the races ever since.

Does that help? Oh, and the other apps are: EntertaiNow TV, IndyMusic TV, LifeStylz TV, MovieCli.ps, and Sportly TV.

Stephanie -- that's brilliant! I don't quite get how the phones work without activation, but neither am I aware of the other SB apps.

Can you tell me a bit more please?

  • senglish27529 Sep 22, 9:19 a.m.

ALL of the Swagbucks mobile video apps are paying double today. Woo hoo!! Those of us with android phones will need to update the apps first.

DH and I each purchased new non-contract phones that we aren't activating, just for running SB apps. I calculated that the inexpensive phones pay for themselves in about a month. :-)
