    Hi, Faye,
On the school supplies, my coworker's wife is a volunteer here and coincidentally he just emailed today on this need
The website has a list of most needed items
    It says this too:
If you would like to donate, please drop off donations before Wednesday, August 10th at the Cabarrus Street Haven House Office (600 W. Cabarrus St., Raleigh, NC 27603).

Faye - Yes, that might explain it - I hadn't heard about the law suits. At any rate, I was pleasantly surprised both times.

Dr D - that is good customer service! I am guessing that some of that stems from recent law suits against the chain in other states regarding not having sufficient stock.

Anyone have any ideas for Jen from the Smart Shopper Facebook page who posted this: "I was wondering if you, or anybody on here know of anyone collecting school supplies in the area?" I suggested she drop them off directly at the office of any elementary school. If you have any other suggestions, please share. Thanks!

Wow - not once but twice recently I've found sale items out of stock on the shelf at Walgreens, and when I inquired if they might have another display of these items elsewhere in the store, they looked, said no, and offered to substitute another item. Last week it was Energizer AA EcoAdvantage batteries. I said no problem, I'll just check at another store. But they offered a substitution of the Energizer AA lithium batteries, which have a much more expensive shelf price. Today it was the PaperMate 10 pk of pens, on sale this week for $.49. They offered to substitute the PaperMate $1.99 10 pk of pens. In both situations, they modified the price of the items purchased to match the sale price, AND let me use the coupons for the sale items. I'm impressed!

From the HArris Teeter Facebook page: "Get your shuck on in honor of National Oyster Day! ‪#‎FlashSale‬ Half bushel of Oysters -$19.99 August 5th ONLY! Comment and tell us how you eat oysters - raw, fried, baked, steamed… Limit 5 half bushels. While supplies last. VIC card required."

Maalp - they often do a $25 credit to your Vic card for each transferred prescription and each refill for up to 10 or so refills, although it has varied in the past. I recommend you call your local HT pharmacy to see if they have any promotion going on right now.

Faye, do you or anyone know if Harris Teeter does any Pharmacy offers or promotions at their store when a new Publix opens up near the Harris Teeter?

Thank you in advance for any information!
