Just purchased one Sears 20.9 a couple weeks ago, $1,000 freezer for $600. My husband is in the craftsmen club and he had some points, and then he go points for purchasing it. Our garden was producing a lot of veggies and I needed another freezer ( 3 in all) We normally run a fan, to try to keep the freezer cool!! (At least a little!!) We tried to find a scratch & dent but couldn't

Nanee Lion - Oh no! I am glad you could salvage most of it but what a pain! You may want to check the scratch and dent sections at Lowes, Home Depot, and Garner TV and Appliance to see if you can get a good deal. If you are willing to get a used freezer, I bought one on Craigslist years ago and it was a super deal.

Sad news! My freezer died yesterday and it was full of vegetables and meats. I think we saved most of it but without my kind neighbors and daughter don't know what I would have done. They offered to store my food in their freezers until we can make other arrangements. This was discovered while I was cooking for my family of 9 to eat with me yesterday; however, dinner was served and everyone enjoyed it. this freezer was store in our garage with no air conditioning so be aware of you have a freezer outside!

raesmom1612 - that is a good deal! Thanks for sharing it, Raesmom. I really like the Ripley's aquarium in Myrtle - especially the walk-through shark tank.

Just got an email from Ripleys Aquarium at Myrtle Beach. Says from now through August 26th any North or South Carolina resident can get admission to the Aquarium and four other attractions (Ripleys believe it or not Odditorium, 5D Moving Theater, Haunted Adventure, and Marvelous Mirror Maze) for just $10 each . All you have to do is mention "Carolina Deal" and show a valid NC or SC ID. If we had some time off I swear I would totally go!! Great way to end the summer :)

Super Doubles update: The ad starting Wednesday does not have Super Doubles in it and I'm waiting to hear if there is going to be a 3-day event. I'll let you know as soon as I know more. :-)
