    UPDATE on McDonald's teacher promo. Our stores are not participating. This is from the PR folks who handle the local McDonald's locations:

    "Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the free coffee offer. This has been a question that's been asked all over the country. A McDonald's owner in another state is running the promotion, but put his creative online without adding his specific restaurants anywhere. Unfortunately, our market isn't supporting the promotion. "

    Chick-fil-a in Wake Forest is simply treating guests to a small free lemonade today. (not the school donation project like the Garner location - although that's a great idea!)
