Thank you all for your feedback! I currently use all of the rebate/refund sites, savings catcher, and swagbucks and I do meal plan. I feel like I am doing all the right things but still can't seem to get it to go down. I will try some of your suggestions. Thanks!

    *** CONTINUING ***
Ask your Walmart what stores they will price match ( My store will not price match Save-a- Lot and the warehouse stores: BJs , Cosco or Sams ).
Also ask what the "match radius" is ( my store will match most stores in a 30 mile radius from my store). Savings Catcher does not match certain items nor certain stores so taking the ad( or a dated printout /screen shot on your tablet or phone ) might be a wise thing to do. BTW, Walmart will match online stores such as Amazon if you can show them a current price

Also sign up for the rebate/refund sites ( Saving Star , Checkout 51, ... )

    Good Luck !

JENNIFERANDBRANDON- I love shopping at the local farmers market for in season produce (so much cheaper and better!) And I've also been able to save a ton of money at Trader Joe's on organic and natural products including produce, dairy and meat. Besides that... meal planning will help save money and cut down on waste. And meal prepping helps us avoid the fast food/take out trap when we're not in the mood to cook.

JENNIFERANDBRANDON - I shop at Walmart a lot because it is close by and the only other options in my town at Just Save and Food Lion _ Kroger and HT are about 30 miles and Aldi- I have no idea at least 40 miles to South Point ( ??). .
I do not get the Sunday paper every week so I rely on the ads and coupons I collect from mailings ,products and the internet . Sign up for the Savings Catcher if you have not done so . CHeck the ads - Faye's weekly store synopsis here is a very good start . You may still need the ad or a printout ( with the sale dates showing ) for Walmart to do a price match - be aware your ad may be slightly different if you do not live in the same general area (Food Lions & Krogers in Durham and Raleigh can differ on prices - some times by a lot ) .

Faye- I have to thank you again!!! After your class I asked my HT if they took the CVS extra bucks and they do!!!! Now I make sure I watch weekly and get the best deals and save them- I just got the Colgate w/the $2 coupon from last week that I hadn't used plus the $1 printable and I actually made $2!!!! (Well really $1.95 because I paid $0.05 ;-) )

I am trying to cut down on my grocery bill. I've tried using coupons in the past but not a huge fan of them. I shop at ALDI and Wal-Mart. I buy lots of fruits and vegetables and some meat. We try to eat really healthy. Do you have any suggestions of how to cut down on the cost?
