I was wondering if you have done a discussion on Apps before. Not the coupon apps (Ibotta, Snap, etc) Apps like Snip Snap, Coupon Keeper, Retail, etc.
I am looking for good apps that can give me all the sale ads each week and I would love to know if one is out there that I can scan a product or type in a name and it tells me where the best prices are. I thought they were supposed to exist...
I also thought that Grocery IQ was supposed to help me know what coupons are out there and where to get them, but it only seems to do and not certian what it can actually do. Anyone know?

Are these apps to much to ask?

We mostly shop at HT and the BOGO coups, even from other stores, work fine - no one has to override them, the computer just accepts them. I would ask at my local HT but we all know that this one approves everything and says no to almost nothing so not certain I would get an answer that is valuable to all HT shoppers. :)
And yes Faye, I am still trying to follow the rules. ;) Don't want Kroger ending our good thing.

larindap3 - Yep - they were correct. Many stores, including HT, will not let you "double dip" on coupons allowing you to use a coupon on the 2 items you are paying for and then another one to get a free item that requires the purchase of the same 2 items you used a cents off coupon on. Because the coupon for the free item requires a purchase of the other 2 items, the reasoning is that the coupon is essentially applied to all 3 items, so you can't us another coupon for those 2 purchased items. At least that is the way it has been explained to me. :-)

Ok, I have a coupon question. Went to HT this afternoon, there was some Old Spice items on sale. I had a coupon that read $1/2 Old Spice items. I had another coupon that read, buy 2 Old Spice items, get 1 Old Spice soap bar Free. I tried to use the $1/2 coupon on the 2 Old Spice items that were on sale and use the buy 2 get 1 free coupon on the soap bar. The system wouldn't take it but i think it was because the sales items scanned as sale and didn't have their actual description come up on the computer. The cashier would not take it. Said that you could not have more than one coupon on something. I didn't have more than one coupon on an item. I had all the Old Spice taken off my order, didn't purchase them. Where they correct?

BenP - you are lucky. My HT will not take any printable coupon with Free or BOGO on it. If yours will take it, that makes the B2G3F deal much better. :-)

    Thanks Momoff1! THat's a good freebie!

Wow. I've never had them turn down a BOGO printable. I always took that part of their policy as free item internet coupons. (As in no purchase required.)

  • Faye Prosser -WRAL Smart Shopper May 18, 2015

BenP - the BOGO manuf. coupon is a printable coupon and HT does not take printables for free items per their policy.

Policy: "We gladly accept original paper internet manufacturer’s coupons; however no internet coupons involving any “free” products are accepted. " their policy they will not take the BOGO printable. Sorry. If by some strange chance they did take it, I guess they would give you one of the ones you are paying for free and you would only pay for 1 out of the 5. That's my guess at least. :-)

    Nope that's a BOGO MQ.
