lindabates re price matching at Walmart. It really, really depends on the manager on duty. I've had different results at the same Walmart because of the manager on duty. I've had better luck when I had a printed ad with me (however, I have price matched with an ad from my smart phone and with no ad just telling them the price for a grocery store item, but it was not easy!) Some managers just do not want to price match and others are more willing. Also, a lot of the cashiers do not know how to do price matching, so be prepared for it to take longer than usual especially if they have to call for help. You cannot price match if you are in a hurry or are worried about holding up the line :-)

lindabates - I usually only price matched produce at Walmart when I could not get to the original stores. I had the ad with me so there was no confusion. My WM only allows 1 produce price match per day but I rarely shop there so it's not really an issue.

Here is the basic policy from their website:
    * Our customers must inform the associate of the price and retailer (local and online)
    * We reserve the right to verify the price and the availability of the identical item (i.e. size, model, quantity, brand, color)
    * The item must be currently in-stock at the online retailer’s website* at the time the Price Match is requested
    * We reserve the right to limit quantities to one-per-customer, per item, per day**
    * We will match prices for in-store purchases
    * The Store manager has the final decision on any Price Match There are also restrictions. You can see the full price match policy here:

KatySculer re returns with coupons: at Target, I have them do the receipt look up, so that the coupon question doesn't come up. It gives you the price you paid before coupons unless they are Target ones (those you lose, I think).

I inadvertently bought some Tide Boost Pods on clearance at Target with coupons, which I thought were detergent...they are not. I would like to return them and I wanted to know if I would get back the price I paid minus the coupon, or the full price. It would make sense that I would get the full price, as they are still getting their money from the manufacturer. I was just wondering if there was a legal answer. Thanks!
