Thanks to everyone for all your helpful posts today. As I am sure some of you noticed wral.com and all the blogs were down for the afternoon. Thankfully it is back up and running. And soon I will be as well! :-)

I also love Aldi's produce specials, and shop there 2-3 times a week on my way to or from work. I carry in my own reusable bags so I don't need to bother with a cart.

My child is notorious for stealing my quarters whether they are in the car or my purse so I rarley have quarters either when I go to ALDI. So i have trained myself in filling my arms as much as I could. Love the fruit and veggie specials they have and I miss working across the street from ALDI. I would run over during lunch and bring all the fresh goodies home :)

I try to keep a quarter in the cup holder or console of the car so I'm ready for Aldi. :)

TwinRedHeads - Thanks. I had never been to an Aldi before and had no clue what to except. I didn't even have a quarter but a nice guy gave me change for a buck. I knew I needed one but when I left the house I didn't think I was stopping there.

ASCHERER-That is the Aldi's that I shop at and I don't bother going if it's after mid afternoon as everything is pretty picked over. If you can't make it by 3:00ish, it's typically not worth the trip if you're going for produce.

Yeah, the salad stuff is usually kinda bare by Monday; all those weekend shoppers hit it pretty good. I've noticed the Garner one seems to start stocking back on Tuesdays since the new seek sale starts on Wednesdays.

Is there a trick to shopping at Aldis? I went for the first time last night (the store in Cary on Maynard). I was looking for everything to make a salad. The produce area was pretty bare. I got the last head of lettuce. It just wasn't a good experience. Did I just hit it on bad day or time? Thanks.
