jdouglas13- I have ordered the parchment ! I have never used this brand and can not wait .
I have used parchment under pizza too and it is Wonderful - bottom not done to fast and cleanup is minimal . A cast iron pizza pan? Now I need to hunt one of those !

JDOUGLAS13 - thanks for letting us know about the KAF parchment paper. Your comment, and those of others on their website, convinced me to order it - just in time for cookie baking season. :-)

DW and I were out in the Cary/Apex area this afternoon, so we went over to the Kroger on 64 in Apex. I used to shop there all the time when we lived there, and had forgotten what a nice store it is.

Their produce is always nice and fresh, frequently replenished, and the area is clean. Their produce prices are quite good as well. I bought some Asian pears that will go into a salad one night this week.

It was really well worth the stop -- I got the Land O'Lakes butter that nets out to $1.99/lb if you buy 10 and there was plenty of it there.

Kudos Kroger! Please move to Clayton -- it doesn't have to be Flowers, 40-42 would be just fine. :)

Ascherer, your Daddy sounds like a man after my own heart :) I would love to see that big box of parchment paper LOL. I've gone a bit overboard on my stash of parchment paper, but you can be sure I will double check to make sure I have "enough" before the free shipping deal ends.

Observant, you are very welcome. Have you tried the KAF parchment yet? It is such great quality. I bake my pizza on a cast iron pizza pan that is preheated to close to 500 degrees. However, I shape the pizza on a sheet of parchment paper, throw the whole thing in the oven on top of the cast iron pizza pan, and it holds up to the heat and pizza like a trooper

jdouglas13 THANK YOU for the parchment deal !!
I discovered parchment for baking about 3 years ago - my cookie sheets are old but could not find what I wanted in time for holiday baking so I bought a box of parchment on sale using a coupon from the Reynold Aluminum Foil package. I will NOT bake with out it now .My cookies are the perfect on the bottom and cleanup from everything is so much easier ( especially cheesy stuff - cheese straws, sausage balls, etc)

Sorry - I forgot to mention that what jdouglas posted is a huge deal.

jdouglas - i almost fell off my chair laughing. My Daddy loved parchment paper. Now Momma and I have enough for each of our lives. He bought a whole box of the big sheets. Momma was always the baker in the family and swears by King Arthur flour. Thanks for a morning chuckle.
