Pepper2 - great points on couponing back in the old days (when we both got started!).

Thomas - Super deal at Staples! Way to go! And thank you on the BAss Pro Shop GC sale at Swagbucks. I had the Walmart stuff shipped right to my house. The shipping was free and it saved me a trip to WM.

Faye - Grats on the Shop and Earn !
How did you like Walmart ship to store ??
I ordered my computer from them and had it shipped to my store (I saved $18 shipping , $88 off Amazon's price on same computer ) . It happened to be "back to school" bonus time at Swagbucks so I got 6 swagbucks on the dollar !

My Deal of the Week :
Staples I had rewards expiring October 31.
In am email last week , I got a bonus reward ( $10) to go with my expiring ones .
In my email Friday I got a 15% off coupon good on total purchase of regular priced items .
The store also price matched a website price on my ink .
My total before all discounts and coupons was : $98.67 final total was : $31.46 .
I used a staples rebate gift card to pay . OOP was $6.46 for 6 ink cartridges ( 2 large 4 small ) and 8 boxes of Kleenex tissues ( bundle packs with coupons) And I got double rewards on the ink cartridges I turned in ( a mobile coupon on my phone )

Just a bit of trivia, for those of you who were not couponing during the 'old days' of double and triple coupons.....
    -There were no printables
-You had to mail in all of your rebates and offers and wait 6 - 8 weeks (sometimes longer) to get your freebie, coupon or rebate check back via mail..oh, and you had to send in the entire label or box top or package..not just a code # or upc
-Most coupons had 'no expiration date' (which was a really good thing) even though the value of each one was smaller (like 50 cents off on a big box of diapers) you had forever to use it...and the coupons didn't have 'bar codes' to scan so the cashiers had to hand key each one
-And, you had to wait for the sales ads to come out to make your list of bargains because there were no websites to give you a list....or coupon matchups......Have I said thanks today, Faye :)

All that said.... I think it's a lot easier for today's 'smartshoppers' to save...but...sadly....it's also easier to commit coupon fraud :(

TJ84 - another example of the casters not being correctly trained. Glad she took them finally.

Swagcode Sunday until 3 pm for 2 SB: geturgroupon

Senglish27529, I had a similar experience a few weeks ago. The cashier said I couldn't use a number of coupons because they had the same numbers. I told her that they were not the same coupon and that the numbers at the top were different. She said the bottom numbers were supposed to be different too. She finally took the coupons saying it wasn't worth it not taking them. At a different HT during super doubles the manager checked me out and scrutinized my coupons which were all OK. It does take the fun out of couponing when you do it correctly and by the rules and they look at you as if you didn't.
