I stumbled upon a great Target stack when going thru the Cartwheel deals and rebate apps:
Avocados from Mexico 99c ea - Cartwheel 50% off avocados (exp 1/28/2017) = 49c ea
    combined with
Old El Paso Crunchy Taco Shells 12ct pkg $1.09
    - $1 mfg coupon any one Old El Paso and two Avocado from Mexico
    - $1 SavingStar rebate any one Old El Paso and two Avocado from Mexico
    - $1 ibotta rebate any one Old El Paso and two Avocado from Mexico

This is either a money-maker or ... buy more avocados for a super price :) Example: get 4 avocados plus 1 package of crunchy taco shells for 11c (or 6c if you use self-checkout and get 5c off at register when you bring your own bag instead of using Target's plastic bag :)

Countrygirl10-just to piggy back off of DRD your mileage will definitely vary. I went to the Wal-Mart at triangle towns center and they had a sign up saying they will no longer price match and here is an article about it from back in June.....I'm sure eventually this will be phased out of all locations.

mbcorns-from what I recall those events usually happen around tax day in April is that what you are referring to?

COUNTRYGIRL10 - Both Walmart and Target will price match, but your mileage may vary depending on the specific details of the deal. I've had some success price matching at Walmart, bringing the current competing ad with me to the checkout, as long as there's nothing "special" about the sale offer in the competing ad. For example, if the item at CVS is a good price because CVS is offering Extra Bucks back when you buy it, Walmart won't discount their price by the amount of the Extra Bucks. But if CVS is selling an item for a sale price of $1.99, Walmart should match that same item's price at $1.99.

What stores price match? CVS often has a grocery item on sale but their stock is so limited. It would be nice to be able to get the sale price somewhere else. Thanks

mbcorns - my WRAL contact said that WRAL does not sponsor these events, they have just reported on some in the past. She recommended that you call the town solid waste or recycling department for your town. I do recall the State Employee's Credit Union offering a shredding event as well in the past. You may want to contact them via phone or on their Facebook page to ask if they have another one coming up. Hope that helps!

barbiedoll1967 - I just got a coupon code from the show yesterday and am working on a post for tomorrow with the code and a ticket giveaway. Wait to buy your tickets. And happy almost 50th b-day!! That's awesome! You should celebrate with me at the class. ;-)

bjluckeey - thanks for the Cary pricing info. They really do have great deals on their milk and eggs at that location!

mbcorns - I do not have that information but I will ask and let you know what I find out.

Hello, I'm looking for information on WRAL's next shredding event. Do you know when that would be? Or how I can sign up to be notified about the next one? Thank you :)

I just went to Aldi's website. If you put in the Cary Aldi ad, milk is listed for $1.49 a gallon. If you put in for Garner, Raleigh, or Wake Forest store milk is $2.29 a gallon.
