FYI - Target and Walgreens Valentine's clearance were both at 70% off on Saturday! Thanks to Heather for posting about the Target info on the Smart Shopper FB page! I picked up a couple of the big 7 oz Hershey's kisses for just over $1 at the Target at White Oak. All the bagged candy was gone, but there were still a number of crafts, Valentine's boxes, and Fun Dip Valentines.

Full disclosure: This is a not a deal. It is a heads up for anyone in the 40/42 area between Garner and Clayton who would like a yummy chicken plate for lunch while supporting a great family who has been hit with an incredibly difficult and sad situation. Today is a fundraiser at Cleveland High School in the 40/42 area to support one of the young math teachers, Gwen Orilio, who was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last month. She is 31 years old. She and her husband (who is one of my daughter's science teachers at the middle school) have a 2 year old child. The high school is hosting a huge fundraiser with various activities including a chicken plate lunch (from 10:30 to 2 pm for $8 each), 5 k run, kids bounce house and more. You can see details below if you want to help these young teachers out with the huge medical bills coming their way.
