FYI - recall for Oscar Mayer Classic hot dogs because they may actually have the cheese dogs in them instead. That would be quite a surprise if you weren't expecting it when you bit into one of them! For those with a milk allergy - this is a serious recall since the product is labeled incorrectly. See more info on the recall at the link to WRAL below.

We ended up getting a mower at Sears. They had them on sale, plus 5% more off for ordering online (free local pickup) and $20 off with code LAWN20. Thanks everyone!!

Jdouglas- I LOVE those green canning jars! And yes, chefscatalog.com is sooo dangerous :-)

  • jdouglas13 Apr 20, 2014

I saw green canning jars in Chefscatalog.com this morning. I love all things green. They had them for: a set of six pint size for $12.95 and a set of 6 quart size for $14.95.

This is a very dangerous catalog for me to read LOL! I can get in all kinds of trouble drooling over the goodies.

Losltp- thanks for the info! We had a riding mower when we lived in Asheville, and I convinced my hubby to sell it when we moved here... not worth keeping in storage! Can't believe how expensive monthly lawn care is these days (even for our tiny yard!!!)

Privilegesrevoked- we'll check that out, too! Thank you!

In addition to Tractor Supply, also check AgriSupply (in Garner up on 70, before you get to WhiteOak. They have good prices sometimes too.

I get those coupons from JoAnn in my email all the time too - and in their sale flyer. And yes! The darker jars keep light out which changes the color of foods in the jars :)
I'm just super excited about this great resource to get the jars cheaper!
In fact, their regular 1 qt jars are $11.99 a dozen (not the blue ones) and so with a 50% off coupon that is an unbeatable price!

Thansk for sharing about thecanning jars - especially the BLUE ones !
A dear family friend taught me years ago to can corn in colored jars to keep it from changing color ( keep it "pretty" as she said ) .
I found a 50% off coupon for Joann's thru swag searching yesterday . it is good thru april 30th .

We had to get a push mower 2 years ago - sticker shock !!
Check Tractor Supply ( ad on line may have coupons or you can signup to get them mailed to you ).
Not sure of specs but I found this one:
    Southern States $169
    link to mower page :
http://www.southernstates.com/catalog/vsearch.aspx?searchterm=mower- check the coupons at website ( one is for $5 off if you signup ) .

Hubby said Sears may have one on sale too
