Not sure if this is old news or not, but was able to confirm that starting in mid-March, Kroger will finally be in sync with the rest of the area supermarkets when they will switch their sales week from their current Sunday through Saturday schedule to Wednesday through Tuesday.

FYI - Grand Opening of Bass Pro Shops in Cary is February 12 (Wednesday). There will be a ribbon cutting at 6 pm with giveaways 2/13 - 2/16. I will post more tomorrow on the blog.

    Thanks, Corbin! Faye, LOL ;)

Just wanted to rave about the Argentinian shrimp at Lowes this week that I mentioned over on the weekend What's for Dinner thread. We really enjoyed it, and it is so much better (and healthier) than the farmed shrimp from Asia. It was a little bit of a splurge (about $8/lb and sold in 2 lb bags), but very well worth it IMHO.

Rite Aid has Wet & Wild cosmetics 40% off. With the coupons from today ($1 off, and says can be used on Fergie OR W&W- I had 3) I got 2 eye shadows and 1 nail polish for 57 cents total!!! (p.s. nutty is my very favorite eye shadow!)

Has anyone ever had the beef fillet that Kroger has in the ad this week ??
    Is it good ??
    Is that a good price ( 20 oz for $8.99 - which is $7.19 /lb )
What would be best way to cook it ?
    Thanks !

jdouglas13 - yes, yes it is. :-P LOL

scoutmomof2 - that was incredibly nice of them to give you the 40 oz Jif jars at the same price! That is a serious PB stockpile you now have!

The Smart Balance peanut butter is on sale 2/$5 at HT, so that same $.75 printable coupon from the Smart Balance website also makes those $1.

Just got in from my HT. I spent more in one trip then I can ever remember but it is probably the only trip on this week. $105.93, save $62.06, but I get a $20 VISA gift card coming. Plus I did purchase chicken breast, stew meat and cube steak along with a pack of hotdogs and of course 2 gallons of milk. My oldest is picking up the Nestle syrup at Target since it is already almost $1 less then HT and Lowes plus he gets 10% for working there and another 5% for the redcard. I did the Nestle $5 deal at HT, 5 packages of chocolate chips and 3 Haagan Dazs. For the Go for the Gold I picked up 2 -100 oz Tide, 2 - 12 roll Charmin, 2 Smuckers Strawberry Jam, 2 large boxes of Pop Tarts and 2 small to get the flavors my kids like, and 3 - 40 oz Jig peanut butter. The manager was nice enough to give me the larger jars of Jif at the same price per oz of the smaller jars since they had no more creamy in the jars that were 4/8. Have I mentioned lately how much I love my HT?

jdouglas, the ravioli is the case frozen case right after the yogurts in dairy. It's by the Asian frozen foods. Hope that leads you to it :)
