Found a deal today? Here's the place to share it!

Have a question that doesn't fit into any of the other threads? Here's the place to ask it!

Regarding Harris Teeter Super Doubles deals list: I should have a chance to walk the aisles of HT on Saturday sometime to check the sales tags and confirm which sales will be continuing through Super Doubles. I will post an initial Super Doubles list on Sunday including current sales that will stay on sale during Super Doubles.

I won't have time to put the list together before Sunday because Saturday I am teaching a class in the morning and then heading to my daughter's marching band competition that will probably last until 11:30 pm. Thanks for your patience. :-)

But, I will have it posted on Sunday!

I plan to start the Lowes Foods Super Doubles list Sunday as well and hope to have a confirmation on their possible event by then.

jdouglas13 & Oxymoron02-- Thanks for you help. I did not receive an email with any offers but I will certainly give them a call. It's worth a try! If all else fails I can use the code on Retailmenot. Thanks again for your help!

OK, so on another note, any ideas where I can get a free renewal to Taste of Home magazine? I have lots of different points here and there, I just don't remember how I did it last time. Thanks :)

Faye, how many of hours of sleep have you gotten this weekend? I'm guessing not many. Please take a break, my friend. The list can wait until tomorrow. You matter more to us than SD. :)

As I posted in one of the other threads on the blog, as much as I love their MyGopher shopping service, it continues to amaze me how any KMart stores stay in business. Everything about them is very outdated, and most of the employees there don't even know how to ring up any of the MyGopher/online orders. I actually thought my local KMart was closing about a month or so ago when throughout the store there were all these 8/12 x 11 sheets of paper with things like "10% off" or "15% off" stuck on the shelves and racks. Found out from one of the employees that it was actually some new marketing idea they were trying out, LOL... *rolls her eyes*

I don't have much better luck with the Walmart in Cary (if you can even find an employee,) but was pleasantly surprised at the big difference in the Walmart in Apex that doesn't appear to have been discovered yet. Still looks new.

I keep an eye on the sales on batteries at HT because they let you use a ZVR with a paper coupon, and I grab a pack every time the coupon/ZVR aligns with a sale making them cheap-ish. AAA and AA are easier to find deals on, but dragging out the HT coupon/ZVR/sale over the whole year seems to mostly meet our needs. Every few years, we just need more than I've accumulated, and I shop around. Last time I did that (over 2 years ago), the best price I found was at BJs.

Have you considered rechargeable Ds? Are any of your D taking devices taking Ds in lieu of a larger rechargeable battery pack? I have a camping lantern that get used mostly for power outages that can take Ds, or I can buy a battery pack and charge it. I have the battery pack, and the insert that takes the Ds just in case the battery isn't properly charged when the lights go out.

Anyone know of a good deal on batteries? I need about 20 D's and that can be expensive. Doing the annual flashlight check and need to replace a bunch. BTW...I found out that you don't need to recycle regular (alkaline) batteries. They no longer contain mercury so it is OK to put in the trash. In fact there are NO places around here that recycle batteries EXCEPT rechargeable ones. I checked with the Wake Cty. recycleing folks and they confirmed this. Just an FYI. I have a small box I'd been saving and went looking for a place and found this out.
