Came across a lady tonight in LF Knightdale she had at least 20+ packs of the lance crack3r$. How can someone get out of checkout with that many with one card???? I think its in bad taste. I am lucky I got my hands on one... Has anyone else had this problem.

Went to LF to get the $1.88 deal on Doritos and tried to use the OYNO from HT. Cashier wouldn't take it because it wasn't a dollar amount off of a dollar amount. He called the supervisor over and she made a huge deal out of how they weren't supposed to take it. Then she got a manager who said they were no longer taking them, but would make an exception. Has this happened to anyone else? This was at the LF on Capital Blvd.

Thanks juanitasmith2. I have never shopped there before but I think I am going to check it out this week when I do my weekly shopping. It sounds like I might be able to save a few bucks there.

bluedevilwoman~also if there is anything in particular you would like to know just post it and I'll be sure to check it out for you :)

bluedevilwoman~i've been shopping at save a lot twice already. Mostly off brand products but the name brand stuff they have is pretty reasonably priced. The ad prices were good thru 10/27. Im going again tomorrow to get my meats so I'll post what I find on tomorrows share the deals blog. I bought pillsbury grand biscuits for $1, meats are super cheap(cant find my receipt to give exact prices, betty crocker boxed potatoes which have 2 servings inside are $1, butterball turkey bacon $1, rice a roni $1, totinos single serve pizza $1, totinos pizza rolls $1, 5lb bag of apples 3.99. Lots of good deals to be had. Again that ad said prices good thru 10/27/12 so Ill report back what i find tomorrow evening. Also bags are free (up north they are .10 each) and carts are also free (up north they are .25 but you get it back when you return the cart like aldi)

race girl - mine scanned fine at the Hwy 42/50 Lowes Foods. I use a laser printer which prints a higher quality coupon and is more easily scanned. Also, make sure your cashier tries scanning the coupons with the hand wand, not the flat scanner. The hand scanner is more sensitive and is better able to read those coupons.

I am sorry about them not being accepted. That is very frustrating. I wish the stores would install better scanners since we all know the coupons are legit.

Has anyone shopped at a Save-a-lot store? I wanted to know how you like it and what you think of the products and prices that they have. Thanks

For anyone wanting to take advantage of the last day of the NC Energy Star Sales Tax Holiday:

Home Depot's website handled it perfectly (50% off unpopular color ceiling fan + no sales tax + free ship!)

Lowe's required telephone intervantion, but she went out of her way to help.

Walmart sent me information how to apply for a business sales tax exemption in a store. In my former life I would report them to the NCDOR and see if, as their PDF says, they would revoke their sales tax license (I seriously doubt it).

race girl, I used some at the lowe's in clayton and didn't have a problem at all. try a different lowe's?

I printed some coupons from the link that Faye gave us on Friday like the kraft cheese, cool whip and stove top. I tried to use them at Lowes foods and they would not scan. The cashier would not manually type them in because she said they could be fraudulant. Anybody else have trouble? Or have any other suggestions? Thank you.
