Kathy you can also try Costco where medications are usually cheaper and you do not have to have a membership to use their pharmacy. If it is not cheaper there then go to and you can search for patient assistance programs by the name of the medication and see if you would qualify for those programs.

Kat, glad to hear that your husband is home and doing well. Sending prayers your way.

I have been loving the harris teeter deals this week and went again today and bought a whole lot for $20 and got $12 back in box tops :) I love the two-for-one deals where I get food and my school gets money. It's a win-win :)

Kathy - I am so happy to hear Fred is home and that your insurance is covering the hone health care! You may want to contact the manufacturer of the medicine that is so expensive and ask for a hardship discount or coupon. Let us know how his recovery continues. Thankfully he has you to help take care of him and comfort him. Sending hugs! :-)

Hope your husband has a speedy recovery.
Did you take advantage of the Harris Teeter prescription thing where you get back I think 20 for each prescription filled? It is for new pharmacy customers I think.
Anyway, good luck again, must be so nice to have him home and the surgery over.

Fred has come home from the hospital today. He will be receiving home health care and luckily our insurance is covering it. He gets out of breath easily. I'm going do some research on renting a wheel chair if he needs it. I picked up his prescriptions and Wow! Even with insurance it was $70.00 and one medicine is only for 4 days. Hopefully he can return to work quickly or go out on disability. Thanks for the care and concern, knowing I have friends here has helped me deal with this.

Welcome on the Baileys DianeNC! I was almost sad to see it because I was on the fence about going for the 4th time, lol...

Faye - just saw your reminder at the top of this page, "This is the last day of triples at Harris Teeter. Coupon, or forever hold your peace." Love it! I'm going to heed your advice! :)

FYI - I will have the Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods deals posted later this evening. I have to report to my mom job for a few hours now. :-)
