Along with Watchillgirl's stuffed mushroom caps recipe, add in some shredded cheese - yum, yum, yum!!! They're also great grilled, brushed with olive oil and seasonings! Love them!!

watchhillgirl - I really need to make your hubby's stuffed mushroom's recipe this weekend!! It sounds delicious!

  • watchhillgirl Sep 11, 2014

Smolder13, my husband stuffs them and then bakes them in the oven. To make the stuffing, just sautéed/ sweat in water with a bullion cube, some chopped onion, chopped garlic and chopped peppers in a pan, when to your liking add the breadcrumbs, add additional spices to taste. Stuff the caps with the stuffing. Place a little water in a Pyrex pan. Cover with a piece of parchment paper. Bake at 375 for 30- 40 minutes. They are awesome!!!! Since aldi has them on sale all the time we have been eating them a lot! Love them.

Raesmom, I looked at Meadow's site, and it looks like their beef is grass fed. You may want to try some grass fed beef in a small quantity first, like from Whole Foods or maybe Fresh Market. I made the mistake a few years ago of buying a whole beef loin that was grass fed, and we really didn't like it at all. We thought it was really tough, too. It ended up being super-expensive beef stew meat.

teecee - please post them here when you find them!! There are no restrictions on posting them on blogs. Thank you!!

Thanks Raesmom! We enjoyed our one trip to Disney a couple years ago, but we enjoy Busch Gardens much more now that they are older. It's not as ridiculously overpriced or overcrowded. But I wanted to show the girls the Magic Kingdom at least once and I am glad we did. I am sure Rae will love it.

I thought this was a cute little freebie, although our trip to Diney World is a few years away. Its a free Disney themed family decal for your car!!

Thanks to everyone for posting so many deals and helping others out with questions! I have Internet again and am up and running! YAY! Turns out the power outage from the Duke power workers in our neighborhood yesterday killed our modem and Time Warner had to install a new one. The Time Warner guy was super nice and got it up and running with no issues.

The HT TAste & Tell is still open. Just got it. Thanks for the heads up, meredith88!

Teecee - yes you can still share Swag Codes. The one on Tuesday was very early and I missed that one. The one today was live while I was at the doctor's office and I missed that one as well. Sorry. If you join the Smart Shopper Facebook page, there are usually a couple people who post them each day in the comments section. Also, if you download their app on your phone, they buzz you when a new code is live. Hopefully there will be another one today we can post. :-)

smolder13 - I'm with Nakabi - broil them with cheese! Or saute in slices in EVOO.

I might have missed this, but have you all seen the new app called Berry Cart (www.berrycart.com)? It's similar to ibotta, but just for healthy, organic, natural products! It works at a ton of places like whole foods and earth fare, and even HT, walmart, food lion! I just downloaded it, and am excited to try it out. Looks like you only need $5 to do a paypal download as well :-)

Smolder-how about broiling them? I sometimes broil them and they are delicious! They are great stuffed with panko, cheese, and herbs. Yum! Add a litte seafood if you have some on hand.
