thanks faye. when I got to walgreens, the shelf sticker had buy 1@$4.98 and get 2 free, but at the register it came up $5.98. the manager came and the way they finally did it was to charge me for 6@1.59 ea.,not sure how they came up with that figure, but it came out to $1.43 ea. then with my 5000 rewards points, I used, about .70 a piece! oh also used the $!.00 q.

Well, I stopped by the Lowes in Cary that is closing to check on the issues I had Saturday. I found that they must be getting the same question a lot because I got a canned answer basically telling me it is how it is. The cards are already marked to 75% and no other discount is taken (ie. the 25% will not come off those at the end even though they did that with the 10%. They told me that was wrong. They stop and take it off and then ring up the cards). I had Angel Soft ring up wrong from where it had a sign on a the shelf and was told that they are filling in voids on shelves and can not guarantee the prices. So basically, if it works, you are good and if not, return it and don't bother. Like was mentioned before, too much unknown to guarantee your result, but I'm sure there are some good things.

ferret3 - Actually, the All detergent using the .75/1 coupon from 7/28 RP is probably the best deal. Here's the breakdown:

Lowes Foods: All detergent, 50 oz, BOGO for $3 - .75/1 coupon from 7/28 RP = $1.50 (if you happen to have the $1 printable available last week it's only $1)

Lowes Foods: Purex 150 oz (big bottle!), $6.99 - $3/2 coupon from 8/4 RP = $5.49 each (same as paying $1.83 per 50 ounces – a decent deal)

Walgreens: final price should be around $1.60 each based on online prices (which could be more or less in your store)

    Hope that helps! :-)
