Since Aug. 1, CiCi’s guests have been able to purchase and personalize Special Olympics logos, which are displayed in restaurants throughout the state. Guests also can donate $5 to the cause and in return receive a voucher for a free regular sized drink.

This week 33 participating locations in North Carolina, will highlight their fundraising by hosting “Dough Raising” events.

On Tuesday, August 13, 9 CiCi’s Pizza locations* in North Carolina will host this event with law enforcement officers who will park their trooper outside CiCi’s and encourage guests to purchase enough Special Olympic paper logos to cover the entire car. The proceeds from the logo sales all go to Special Olympics North Carolina. In addition to the logo proceeds, the participating CiCi’s will donate 10 percent of the “Dough Raisers” event day’s sales.

See post above for the list of CiCi's with a patrol car outside.

I posted this over the weekend, but since these are both great deals (free!), thought it best to repost it today in case anyone missed them:

Using the $3.00 coupon for Bic Disposable Razors in this weekend's Smart Source, you can score free razors at either Walmart or Target.

Walmart has a 12 pack of Bic Disposable Razors for $2.68, making them free with this coupon.

Target has both Bic Flex 4 (3 ct) and Bic Soleil Bella (3 ct) razors for $4.78. Stack the Bic $3.00 manufacturer coupon with Target's $2.00/1 Bic Disposable Razors coupons (, and either one is free.

    (Thanks to &!)

DianeNC, I figured I wasn't missing out on anything. I live in that area also but a good friend lives near the one on 55 and really thinks she is saving money shopping there. I didn't like the layout of the store over there.

scoutmomof2 - that Walmart Neighborhood Market (or whatever they're calling it) actually opened a few weeks ago, but you're not missing anything, trust me. If you ever shopped there when it was a Food Lion, aside from the Walmart "branding," it doesn't feel much different. (Kind of reminds me of when they made the Walmart on Kildaire Farm Road in Cary into a Super Walmart - the floor, the shelves, the EMPLOYEES, LOL, were still the same, so it really didn't feel much different.)

I live very close to this Walmart Neighborhood Market, but was only looking forward to using them for one item that I used to always have to go to the larger Walmart to get - their Everything Italian Bread that Walmart makes themself. I assumed since this Neighborhood Market is pretty much just groceries, they would carry it. Carry it? They didn't even know what I was talking about, LOL. (Again - this is a Walmart product!)

I found them to be extremely understaffed (you'll be lucky if someone answers the pho

The neighborhood markets aren't doing as well as they hoped. For one thing they're too close to each other and even though Fred works there we rather get our seafood and meats from HT or Fresh Market. We use Wal-Mart only for HBA and cleaning supplies. Fred will pick up something at work if we don't need anything else. I haven't seen the other markets. To us, Wal-Mart is just where Fred works until he completely retires. They've been nice about his newest health issue but that's about it.
