Thanks Faye! It was a great week at HT for real food. I love it when I can just walk the perimeter of the store.

Raesmom, a couple of times when we moved cross country, we were not in a position to either (a) drive both cars or (b) the car wouldn't have made the drive - we were lucky it made it to work most days. We used a car transport service. There must be something like that to tow the boat too?? Maybe call a car transport company and pick their brain. They may even do boat towing. ANYTHING has got to be better than a U-Haul truck with a boat hanging off the back, and 3 nervous dogs and poor Rae in the cab!

Has anyone used Cartridge World? My Epson printer seems to gobble up my ink, even on the "saver" settings. I have been using Staples recycling program, but the return isn't that great. Thanks.

Nakabi,I have purchased from them and love their chicken. They are huge. I come home and cut them individual pieces and put in sandwich bags and freeze them. We are a family of 5 and I love going to my freezer and just pulling out what I need for the night. If I forget to unthaw something for dinner they come in handy. Can thaw in pot of water rather quickly then I cook the way I want. I put them in frozen in crockpot with whatever seasoning I want and put on high and 4 hours later dinner.

I just picked up 38 lbs of 93% lean ground beef at $3.99lb that looks awesome from Zaycon on Tuesday and froze them in 1lb packages. So in fall I can pick up 40lbs of chicken breast for $1.49lb. It was a special Zaycon was running.

Picking up meat couldn't be easier. You don't even have to get out of the car. They put it in the car for you. HTH.

    RAESMOM
Some Home Depot stores have rentals of equipment, including pick-up trucks and are pretty reasonable.

  • raesmom1612 Jul 25, 2014

    Thanks for the code ThomasG!!!

Annecreech3~HT can take a few weeks to show a savings sta credit unlike food lion or lowes foods who usually do it within a weeks time. Hope that helps

    Thanks ThomasG and jdouglas!

ThomasG~Unfortunately with the national companies they will either A.) not rent you a pick up truck with a hitch on it (we are towing back a boat) or B.) We can rent from a national companies "commercial" dept, but in order for us to tow it has to be under a company name and being used for work purposes. Doesnt work for us.

Jdouglas~I've thought of a Uhaul pick up truck (and a Uhaul truck too) but for the pick up, the same rules apply as above and for the truck it may be a little too uncomfortable since we will have Rae, Princess and 3 hunting dogs that hubbys dad left him!! Can you imagine the stink LOL

Fun times are a'coming at the Smith household LOL :)
