OBSERVANT - Please let us know what the USO tells you. My Brother (now retired) served in 4 war zones. Those packages mean a bunch to our soldiers. Thanks

Thank You ! I will try and call the USO number tomorrow .
My (now) husband was in the Navy so I sent a bunch of care packages all over the place . Someone thanked him for his service today when we went to vote - I think that was the first time anyone has since he got out over 20 years ago . Please thank you husband for his service then and now .

Observant I would try the USO in Raleigh, their number is 919-840-0941. Those care packages mean so much to the men and women overseas! When hubby was deployed he would always call and tell me what he got in his box and it always made him feel special to know that someone actually cared to put a box together for him and his friends. It also really helped out as far as what I did NOT have to send him too. They let me focus on sending him his favorite snacks and goodies that were not available overseas. They are truly a blessing!!!

Thanks for the stamp out hunger drive - I have a bag already loaded I was planning to take to the grocery store donation box now I will save it for Saturday ! !
Does any group do gift packages to deployed soldiers ?? Since Memorial Day is soon, it would be nice to share some of those toiletries, gift cards and a fun item or two ( puzzle books, deck of cards, etc) with a soldier far form home .

Thanks for the reminder! Does anyone know if they will also collect/accept any toiletries or other non-food items? I only find "non-perishable food items" noted when I've attempted to look this up.
