Paper box is waiting in garage because of construction nearby .
The turn is tight ( & messy lol) so trucks knocked it down and crushed it ( did get compensated for damaged box & post ) hopefully all will be done by late summer .
N&O let me put subscription on hold . I currently get my mail at Post Office .

You can request a newspaper box from the N & O. There is a $10.00 one-time charge, and the paper box will be delivered to your address. You will have to install the box yourself.

Hello typos! My last post should have read: " Not sure they even do that still since ours has been up for 14 years."

observant - Welcome to the blog and congrats on your first post!

What a nightmare to have your paper ruined every week. I am surprised that the N&O didn't put up a newspaper box. A bunch of us in my neighborhood have them. I wonder if they would put one up if you explained what was happening and asked. Now sure they even do that still since our has been up for 14 years.

How awesome to get a free Sunday paper with coupons on some Thursdays, though!

    Thanks for posting!

My first post ! Thank You to all who share & help !!
IAfter months of Sunday papers ruined by soaking in the ditch or run over delibrately by neighbor, I now pick up my Sunday papers at Dollar Tree - occassionally Wednesdays too ( sometimes they are free if you wait 'til Thursday ). Working nights prevents early paper retrival lol.

Packy-welkom back!!!!!!! Congratulations on the new home! Hope the chaos lessens and you can get back to couponing and saving money!!!
I honestly don't think the new redesign on this blog is that bad. I guess I'm one of the few that don't mind it. Things change and most of the time there's nothing we can do about it except to accept those changes and move on. The point is that we are all STILL saving money, regardless of how the blog is formatted and I am thankful to you Faye for all you do!

Packy - that's your choice, which saddens me. I realize that they are many new aspects to the site - but it really isn't that difficult if you give it a chance and try it for a while. I can assure you that this whole thing has been just as distressing to me as it has been to everyone else, but they are not going to change it and I just want to get back to focusing on the deals. That's all I am trying to encourage. :-) And we are very happy to see you back after the big move!

Diane, you have been extremely vocal and we hear you, but continuing to complain about the redesign here on the blog will not change a thing. Again, feel free to send the IT people your comments but let's try to get past this and focus on the deals, please. Thanks. :-)

I'll have to agree with Diane on this one... I come here less and less bc of the design. :( Nothing we can do about it though, just not as user friendly in my humble opinion. :)

I'm sorry for being so vocal about my feelings regarding the site redesign, Faye. If you feel it was too negative, feel free to remove my post; it's your blog, and I'll totally understand. I agree that there are websites that are more difficult to navigate, but that doesn't make what was done to this site right. A site redesign should make things better for its users, not worse. (I'm glad to hear that the regulars I referred to are still reading the posts here, but there's clearly a reason they're no longer posting.)

DianeNC - I know you are very unhappy about the redesign and it will take some folks longer to get used to it than others, but you need to understand that it's not going to change back to the old site. Feel free to continue to leave feedback through the link you posted about specific things you would like to change on the new site. And many of the regulars you referred to are still reading the posts, based on the numbers. I have been on websites that were much more difficult to navigate and once you are used to the site, I am sure it will not be as frustrating to you.
