TJ84 re Redbox code at Kroger: Yes, click on the Promo button and just enter the word love. You should see the amount listed at 0.00. Make sure it zeros out before you submit.

Observant- sounds like it would be very useful... and I agree... it would save money in the long run! :-) And thanks for the heads up on Kroger. I haven't been there in forever, but might make a trip for asparagus!

RFB & Jdouglas - that should be "Thanks" !
so sorry- it been a long day lol

BTW, Asparagus is $1.99 at Kroger and there was a digital coupon for produce at the website the other day ( $1 off $4 purchase ). It is not showing for me now - I used it already .Expiration dat was 2-18-15 ( I "screenshot" my list so i would have it )

    RFB & Jdouglas - Thank !
I am having a hard time spending that much money but DH really wants it and I do have some gift cards that may apply - with easy pay it would be between $70 & $80 a month before applying gift cards ( and I would earn swagbucks ) -
I think it would save us money in the long run , help me prepare foods faster and healthier .

I am going to sleep on it another night or two and hope for a sale lol
    Thanks Ladies !

We buy meats from a small shop in Henderson ( Supply Line Country Market )- they also sell veggies ( local from the Farmer's Market as much as possible ).
There is a lady that runs the best greenhouse in the summer - great tomato plants , herbs and flowers/plants .

Jdouglas- good to know on the $2.99 asparagus! We used the last of ours from last week, and I'm already missing it :-)

Observant- your DH has great taste! I almost got a refurbished one through my raw food class (they had a special for students) but even that was pretty pricey, so I held off. There are many times I wish I had one, especially as my food processor didn't quite do the job with raw nuts, etc. Wish I could give you some input, but I'm not sure on models, etc. All I know is everyone that I've come across that has purchased one LOVES it! Let us know if you get one and how you like it... very exciting!

HT has asparagus on sale for $2.99, not too bad a price, and definitely worth a raincheck for when the price goes up later on. Clayton was out of asparagus today. Wish I had remembered to get a RC! :p My brain has just been in a fog since we lost Puppy.

Losltp - I am so surprised Staples is buying OD/OM! Wow.

Observant - wish I could help, but Vitamix is way beyond my realm. On another note, was it you who recently mentioned buying meat in bulk every few months? Did you say it was from a butcher? I've been dying to find a butcher since we moved here 10+ years ago. Where do you buy from? Thanks! :)

    Opnion/advice/help !
Hubby saw a Vitamix recently and he is in love !LOL
He says we need to get one - smoothies, soups, ice cream with minimal sugar; sorbets, peanut butter without the added salt, sugars and fats; grind our own flour ( rice, almond, oat ,etc) and coffee ....
    My questions :
    1) Do we need the dry container ( for flour, etc) ?
    2) variable speed vs. hi/lo only ??
( Some models have a fan to keep motor from overheating) 3) size of containers - 64 oz or will 48 oz be OK ??

Thank You fro any suggestions/advice !!

VLinn, so do you type in the word "LOVE" at a Kroger kiosk for a redbox movie? Usually the code is 8 digits long. Just want to make sure I understand what I'm supposed to do to get it free!
