cokesburyfarm - that's a good question to ask in the What's for dinner post tomorrow morning. Lots of the folks who read that section will be happy to post answers. I also suggest you read some of the information about freezing foods here:

Holly, Don't call customer service. Ask for customer retention.

Anyone successfully decreased their time warner cable bill once their promotion is over? I am wondering if I just call customer service? Seems like I have heard that does not seem to help in some cases.

I do a lot of meal planning and it helps me if I take out the meat I'm planning on cooking the next day the night before before I go to bed. I thaw it out on the counter and put it in the fridge when I wake up.

cokesburyfarm-I free EVERYTHING!! lol...Bread, butter, veggies, meat, herbs, milk, juice, any leftover desserts, etc. If I buy something and I know I'm not going to use it within 3-4 days, I freeze it. I put meat and veggies in meal portions for my family and label the ziploc bag with the date and the item and number of quantity. I make sure to rotate food each time I grab something from the freezer so that way the oldest items get used first. I have rubbermaid containers in my freezer and I keep veggies on one shelf, meat on another, etc.

Alright fellow couponers, anyone else who subscribes to N&O, did you know that "bonus" papers like ones we receive on holidays including presidents day, etc costs you more and actually shortens your subscription? I wanted to know if any of the other N&O subscribers were aware of this. I just heard this when a customer service operator called to ask if I had gotten my papers. Is this a new policy? I didn't know about this policy but it would explain why my subscription is due now instead of a month or more from now.

Just picked up my son at Target from work and went in to do the Coke deal this week. Bought 10-12 packs of soda which is the limit for any purchase. With just the 5% cartwheel that I saved awhile back (it is no longer available) it was $21.44 including tax. However we used the redcard (another 5% or 0.96 off) and his 10% discount and paid OOP only $19.56. So less then $2 a pack (or 16.33 cents per can) which way beats the 0.75 a can they charge at the machine at work. Plus I will get all those coke points!

We saw them when they came thru a couple of years 'em!

In addition to the other great ideas, check out the Nature Research Center/NC Museum of Sciences admission! Also, the JCRA Arboretum is close to PNC if it's a pretty day :)

Has anyone redeemed their saving star payout for a bank deposit? If so, did you have any problems? I usually redeem for an Amazon GC because I don't like to share banking info.
