Did anyone else scoop up Nivea Liquid Soap (men &/or women) BOGO @ HT? $5.99 BOGO - $3.00 off 2 = #1.50 a bottle. I thought it was a GREAT deal & the shelves had ALL the varieties.
HT also had Colgate Kids toothbrushes 99 cent - 50 cent coupon = FREE toothbrushes. TIC TAC large bottle BOGO - after coupon 75 cent & ZVR 50 cent = ~15 cent a bottle. Not bad for fresh breath!

smolder and ncveteranswife, thanks for your comments. Getting great deals at the grocery store is almost a high for me. I really enjoy it. Shopping here recently is almost nauseating, because of the 'want it now, regardless of the price' thinking. If I could really take over full responsibility, I could help turn it around in time, but I don't think that's an option. So, for now my mantra is 'Look! XYZ is on sale! Let's get some coupons and stock up. Yes, we have room for it. It's not 79 bottles of some cr*p we're not going to use' ;)

Faye, thanks for your continuing good thoughts. I'm swiping toothpaste from unsuspecting family members until I can find a coupon and a deal! ;) There is no way I'm pay that psycho price for toothpaste!! LOL

I was at the HT in Cary and one of the employees came by and told me that they are supposed to be triple couponing next week. Don't hold your breath, but since she came up and told me that unsolicited I am hoping she is correct.

jdouglas, I am keeping your family in my thoughts as you all go through this journey with your mom. It's a tough road, but she is so lucky to have you there with her.

The story about your parent's grocery budget is difficult to fathom. But we all know people who spend that much per month and have very little to show for it.

So....did you just give up using toothpaste while you are there??? LOL ;-)

jdouglas13: $800+/month...Oh my...I had to read that twice...Thanks for sharing. I definitely am not going to complain about the time I am spending on couponing and the money I am saving my family. :)

    ncveteranswife--Per the CVS policy:

The number of manufacturer coupons used in a transaction may not exceed the number of items in the transaction.

CVS/pharmacy accepts multiple identical coupons for multiple qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers, unless a limit is specified. Management reserves the right to limit the quantity of items purchased.

Their policy can be found at www(dot)cvs(dot)com/bizcontent/general/help/coupon-policy(do

jdouglas13-Thanks for sharing. I'm nearing the end of my pregnancy (not near enough, though!) and I have been getting frustrated with the combo of couponing/shopping/cooking along with exhaustion, aches and pains. That was a well needed reminder that what I am doing is well worth my time. :)
