juanitasmith2 - could you drop me a quick e-mail when you get a chance? I'm at nc.catlover@yahoo.com. Thanks!

clinton, I've been reading Good Housekeeping for over 40 years. 73 points is a steal for it. They usually have coupons every month for glade, ziploc, and windex, occasionally others. Their recipes are pretty good and well tested. If you like women's magazines, you will probably enjoy it. I think it is one of the best ones myself.

scoutmomof2, other than my presriptions or a really, really good deal on milk or eggs, I don't much shop the drugstores. I usually stick to the grocery stores. And I'm still exhausted from last week's SD at HT--might have to limit myself to ONE trip this go round. When you work 2 jobs...

A variety of Reynolds coupons are available including slow cooker bags, foil, etc.

scoutmomof2, that's true even of their gift cards. I transferred my prescriptions back to them when they offered gift cards for doing so--then couldn't use the gift cards to buy EGGS! I HATE CVS and shop Walgreens, but this is rediculous!

I've gotten the 93% lean ground beef at Aldi and felt like it had too much fat. Not as good as HT.

Thanks so much dawnl39!

Can anyone comment on the quality of the meat/chicken at Aldi's. Thanks,

Faye,I also shop Harris Teeter and CVS. Get the best deals at these two stores. Also, heard that super doubles would begin March 6. An employee told me today. It does sound crazy, but hope it is true.

Sorry that was for springtime.......thought i was having a personal conversation there for a minute lol..........Your welcome :) was it on sale for 15.19 or 19.99? Im going to get mine for my daughter on Friday.

And don't forget that if you do any walking, you can earn BR points for Walgreens by logging your miles. 10 points per mile:

http://walk.walgreens.com/

Thanks for catching that scoutmom (on the Walgreens BR points). I never earn enough to even do the 10000 at Walgreens. I am a CVS shopper through and through. The numbers you posted in order to get the better value on the BR points are correct.

wildfrench, here's the link to the Walgreens website with all the info on the program and how you can earn additional points:

Your welcome :) was it on sale for 15.19 or 19.99? Im going to get mine for my daughter on Friday.

I dont remember who told me about the laugh and learn puppy but THANK YOU for doing so.....I went and got it last night for my daughter's birthday! Thank you again!

wildfrenchrose,

Also another thing to keep in mind is that when you use them, nothing in that order accrues points. So for instance, it you had items that you were paying for that would give you 500 points and paid even partially with the points you had accrued, you wouldn't get the 500 points from the product you were buying. They also restrict you on what you can buy with the points, no "alcohol; dairy; tobacco; stamps; phone/prepaid cards; money orders/transfers; transportation passes; lottery tickets; charitable donations; or pharmacy items or services that must be excluded by law as determined by Company." So you cannot use it to buy milk even!!

wildfrenchrose,

It actually does get better past 10,000. I believe at 18,000 you can get $20, 30,000 is $35 and 40,000 is $50. But to me it takes forever to get there since I don't shop there as much as CVS.

wildfrenchrose email your address to me @ dawnl39@bellsouth.net and I'll get those q's in the mail for you ;)

Anyone know of a discount to the News & Observer Sunday subscription? It's time for me to renew and I hate to pay full price!

kathrynmg use SCSUN - should be $1.00 per Sunday up to 52 weeks

Anyone know of a discount to the News & Observer Sunday subscription? It's time for me to renew and I hate to pay full price!

Heard a crazy rumor today...They are saying that super doubles will be next week again...CRAZY if true...it was an employee that told me.

wildfrench - it's an additional $5 for every 5000. If you have accrued 10000 points, you get $10 off. But clearly you have to watch how they deduct according to clinton. Thanks for the heads up on that, clinton!

clinton28328, my boys would love to go, I would appreciate the coupon code. You can email it to peverwine@hotmail.com. Thanks

Please pay close attention with the walgreens points. I had over 10,000 points and made a purchase of approx. $6.75. the cashier told me that I could use my points to pay the entire $6.75 and said it was only use 6750 points but it took 10,000 pts.

scoutmomof2, is it worth waiting for, or it is just an additional $5 for every 5000?

wildfrenchrose,

you can iether take $5 off your order next time you are in there or keep piling up the points toward something bigger.

Anybody figure out Walgreens Rewards program yet? I've reached 5000 points, what do I do with it?????

babymacmama - I am unable to print any coupons that require the JAVA applet through the Mozilla Firefox browser. I can, however print them through Explorer. You may want to try switching to another browser.

Coupons.com uses the Bricks coupon portal and that seems to work much better than the Java required coupons. For companies on Facebook that offer Java required coupons, I suggest sending them a quick message requesting that they use the Bricks portal the next time. I have done this many times when a coupon would not print through Java.

You are not alone - Java coupons are not user friendly.

Does anyone else have trouble printing coupons from websites? I seem to have the biggest problems with Smart Source. I think most coupon printing software runs on Java and I've been having trouble with that for months now. Anyone know of a permanent fix?

wildfrenchrose-Yes! I had my mom bring me or ship me Community coffee and chickory for years before I was able to get used to the taste of plain old coffee. She also had to ship my sister dried red beans when she lived in Alaska. It's amazing what you take for granted in an area until you leave and can't find that stuff anymore.

smolder13--isn't it annoying when you can't get what you're used to? The 8 years I spent in CA, I'd buy mayo & corn meal when I visited home to take back with me! Desperate times call for desparate measures....

wildfrenchrose-I agree, Tabasco is a must for eggs. I like the original or green sauce for eggs. I also love to use the original in my baked potatoes along with Tony's Chachere's seasoning. In my house we put tony's on everything. I've also been known to use the chipotle sauce in place of salad dressing...

wildfrenchrose - I was able to print out two of the $0.50 Tobasco coupons from their website for you. Just drop me an e-mail at nc.catlover@yahoo.com with where to send them to, and I'll stick them in the mail to you.

smolder13--I will certainly keep my eyes open for it for you. I'm typically not a Tobasco user--I actually don't like the flavor on anything but eggs. But I've become addicted to this certain breakfast burrito and MUST have Tobasco for it. Other things I prefer Texas Pete, or Crystal, or one of several others.

wildfrenchrose-I'm happy to find another Tabasco fanatic! :) I grew up in southern Louisiana and there is no substitute for Tabasco (although I do use multiple other types of hotsauce for different things). I have every flavor variety they make sitting on my kitchen counter. If you ever see the garlic Tabasco in any stores here please let me know...I have never been able to find it outside of Louisiana.

clinton-I LOVE GH!!!! It has great tips on cleaning, decor, and recipes! I get mine through the recyclebank points when I have enough. buffhome2-I don't think anyone knows lol

I purchased tickets last night to the Monster Jam in Raleigh (March 15-16) I found 5.00 discount coupons at Advance Auto for the 25.00 section seats. Let me know if anyone wants the coupon code.

buffhome, I'm not sure if anyone knows why but it's just like that. We just wait patiently. :)

Curious if anyone runs into this with Saving Star....I made a purchase at CVS and it posted to saving star in 2 days. Same thing at Kroger, purchase made Monday posted this morning on Saving Star. All purchases made at Harris Teeter take WEEKS. Why is that? Do they have more volume to process thru? Its just a random thought I have always had since joining Saving Star.

Mycokerewards has the Good Housekeeping magazine as the deal of the day. Think it was 73 points instead of the normal 133 points. Has anyone ever gotten this magazine? Is it any good?

Anyone out there willing to print Tobasco's hot sauce coupon from their website and mail it to me? I use Tobasco daily--at LEAST five days/week, and it won't let me print more than two, which I've already used. And no, for what I use it for, another brand won't do. Tobasco's flavor is inique.

Sambazon has a great coupon available on their Facebook page - $1.50 off any one Sambazon item! (Wish I had known about this before HT's Super Doubles ended yesterday, LOL!)

Just head to www.facebook.com/sambazon and click on the $1.50 link.
