Faye, I got the $5 off $30 from CVS, but I also have a $10 off $50 that printed with my receipt last week. Do they stack?

savvysaver-They won't take it because of the FL symbol on it. Apparantely they don't get reimbursed for those types of Q's, or so I was told when I tried to use the same kind at the LF last week during SD even though it said MC on it.

Faye - Would you consider doing a story on Target store in Cary not being aware of their coupon policy? Four times now I've had problems with that particular Target refusing to take my coupons! And when I've asked why and explained their policy to them, I've been told to call corporate about it. So each time I have and each time corporate has taken good care of me! But it's frustrating! I think WRAL should do a story on it!

Yesterday I had a coupon beep at HT because it was on clearance. Manager came over & manually put it in, when I asked why she didn't double it, I was told "because it's a competitor's coupon, we don't double those." I was totally confused. It was a printable manufacture coupon from Food Lion parties website.

shelllauren - I wonder if they are changing policy on that or something. They were out this morning and I mentioned them to the cashier and she was very quick to tell me there would be no overage. That was the first time I had heard that.

hhall-I had the same thing happen this week at HT but instead of not taking the zvr off the cashier would only take the price of the coupon off so that the item was free: in other words-no overage. I was very surprised too as this has not been the case in the past.

ddalmas: I had a hard time finding the HT Traders Sir Chocolot cookies. They were not near the Oreo's or regular brands. They were located down the cookie aisle near the specialty cookies. You have 3 favors to choose from. They are milk chocolate topped truffle cookies.They had raspberry(another favor I can't remember) or peanut butter filled.

Heads up - check your e-mails for a $4 off $20 coupon for CVS that you can add to your card and use in stores through 2/3. I just got one!

kntdside - HT does not take competitors coupons for specific items so you would not be able to use that coupon. They do take competitors coupons for a total off your total purchase (like $4 off $20 purchase).

Can I use a FL store coupon at HT? FL does not have the large container of MH coffee on sale, but HT does, which is what the coupon is for.

Re the unstoppables - I'm betting you could also use them in your car during warmer weather. I do that with the Glade plugins (do they still make the non-oil ones??? I still have tons from stocking up years ago). They used to make the ones for your car but discontinued them years ago. I took one that was made for the warmer you plugged in an outlet, peeld back teh foil a little and sat it in my car spring March through September. It would get hot enough in there to melt the gel. I bet you could put soem of the Unstoppable beads in a jar lid or something and do the same thing.

ddalmas - yes, they were in the cookie aisle. The two different kinds were not together so I grabbed the wrong one (rectangle one) since I didn't know there was another one.

hhall, they used the ZVR and the coupon but the coupon didn't want to scan but the manager added it anyway. He didn't know I had a ZVR and the ZVR came off at the register. I guess it depends on what store you go to

I know other people have had a problem with the Dove mens soap so I figured I would ask. Does anyone know if HT has quit offering overages thru the ZVR if the coupon makes the item free? I went to HT today and purchased the soap. My ZVR for the soap did not come off and when I asked the manager, who ran up my items, she said she would not take the ZVR off because the item was already free and she couldn't pay me for the item. Just curious if anyone else has had this happen.

I asked this a few months back, but thought I'd try again in case we have some new folks on the blog - can anyone recommend any price comparison websites like ShopLocal.com that deal with strictly brick-and-mortar stores? It's a great way to find out where to go for the best price on something, whether it's on sale or not.

There seem to be many websites that do this with online retailers, but I'll trying to find those that do it for stores we can get in our car and go to (grocery, drug stores, retailers like Target, etc.)

I got the Sir Chocolot cookies today. They were ok. I found out at the register it is the square box and not the smaller rectangle box. I didn't know there were two different ones.

Nakabi - I love your suggestion regarding boiling laundry detergent on the stove. I guess it's similar to a simmering pot. I won't use tart burners anymore since the one I used to own cracked while in burning & made a huge waxy mess, not to mention a small fire.

packy- didnt know if you knew that you can boil the laundry detergent on the stove and it will make your house smell good. no simmer pot or tart burner needed.

Really! I will be trying that one for sure! Even though I'm so unbelievably stocked up on candle tarts. Love the lavender scent I use for the laundry, so it would be wonderful to use in the tart burner :)

You should really check it out, Nakabi. Sooo many great tips. I know that tip didn't really have anything to do with the normal blogs BUT it IS cheaper to use something like what I mentioned than spending a lot of money on candles, tarts, scentsy, etc. That stuff gets VERY expensive!

Packy the "coupons tendered" line on your receipt includes coupons, evic & ZVR's.

dawnl39-yes, you can mix and match any of the coke products.

My understanding is that coupons tendered is the total amount of your sale, coupon and ZVR savings and that is the number I use to calculate savings. They are just breaking down the ZVR and Vic savings numbers so you know what they are, but they are included in the Coupons Tendered total as well.

Coke & Sprite 12 packs are buy 2 get 3 free so I'm assuming it's all Coke products that are on sale. Here's my question: can I get mix them? 2 cokes, 3 sprites? When I did it on Express Lane it charged for all 5. Just curious if anyone has done it in the store.
