nakabi-I know it will be here before I know it! I can't believe I'm already halfway through this pregnancy (over halfway if this one comes early, too). I don't think I've ever had Ugandan food before. I had a friend in grad school whose brother in law was African and she used to let me taste some of the food he made, but I'm not sure where exactly he was from.

Check the package when buying Breyer's these days ... some are labeled "Ice Cream" and more are now "Frozen Dairy Dessert". Noticeable differences in taste and texture!

yea ddalmas! You had the link :) Yes, their bags are GREAT and so much cheaper than Foodsaver (cheapest price Walmart and that's too expensive!).

They come in very large rolls, so if your foodsaver has a built in roll holder, you'll need to re-roll some from the larger rolls onto your saved cardboard cores from the food saver bags.

Crock pot, food saver vaccum seal system and breadmakers are things I will NOT live without - e-v-e-r :)

Sandtran - as to start up costs, there are quite a variety of food saver 'levels'. I have a very small one, holds a roll, has a 'slice lever to cut the bag material and that's about all the extra's it has. You can spend a lot of them, so watch prices. Kohls does well when they put them on sale, which is where I got my second one after my first one gave up the ghost, used it so much for many years! I believe we paid $110 for it. But considering you will never throw out food from the freezer again, it's very much worth it!

Does anyone have a Monterey jack cheese queso receipe they would like to share? I would like to try and make it at home instead of purchasing it.
