Amazon prime does stream to the tv. I have both a wii and a ps3. It does not work with the wii but does with other devices. We mainly use the ps3 to stream anything. I know people who even hook their computer up to the tv to do it.

Thanks scoutmomof2. I've noticed the overlap as well... and glad to know that it wasn't just a quick perception.

We use Netflix now through our Wii -- does Amazon Prime stream to tv similarly?

I haven't had dish or cable for over 8 years. I tried hulu plus for awhile with my netflix but they overlapped too much and we liked netflix better. I do however also have amazon prime which we also enjoy. They offer a lot of free movies with the prime service and rotate them around. We run it through my son since he is a college student and can get it for 1/2 price as an amazon student. In addition it provides a bunch of free shipping on stuff.

Any Hulu plus users out there? I'm thinking about dumping the dish when they raise prices next month. I just discovered that the Netflix subscription I've had for ages has a bunch of tv shows that I'm really enjoying, and right now I'm trying out hulu plus as well (though it doesn't seem to be quite as user-friendly, but I have a week to decide whether I'm going to keep it). I'm not worried about local tv channels since I seldom watch those anyway, but I'm trying to figure out how to get some of my favorite HGTV and Discover shows. Anyone ditched the dish and have cheaper services?

ddalmas, I did the same thing you did this past superdoubles. I got rainchecks for the Welch's light grape juice and the essentials juice. I said I wanted quantity of "3" because of the coupon policy but I should have said "6" because the coupon is $1.00 off 2. They were both BOGO. I didn't even think of that until it was too late. So if I have 3 coupons that would require 6 items, I'll only be able to get 3 of them at half off. So from now on I'm gonna ask for the maximun quantity allowed. One of these days I'll have this all figured out!

DOUBLE SWAG CODES OUT!! one worth 3 and one worth 4!!!!

  • Packy Jan 16, 2013

rachelray, that's the problem...they didn't ask so I don't think there's a quantity on there. So I'm just gonna grab as many of that product as I have coupons for and ask before the cashier starts ringing me up. Hope for the best! lol

    bloomhappy, you're welcome. :)
