dkg0502, I have to agree wholeheartedly about the Good N Natural bars being horrible. I tried a chocolate one and nearly gagged - just threw it away - and I'm a chocoholic!!!! Not worth "free" to me - just tasted like chewy cardboard.

Pepsi coupon at coupons.com $1/2 multipack cans or 3 pk bottles. There is a 0.55/1 Weight Watchers snack cake also.

Anyone know of new RX deals?

scoutmom-I just tried it again and it still wanted CC info..oh well...

packy-nice going on the LF!! what's your plan for the French bread?

Diane, the reason they can do it is because I'm sure there is an agreement between them and the manufacturers for some sort of refund, I could be wrong though.

But RA is the only drug store that does it with their coupons calling their own "manufacturer coupon" when in fact they are just usable at RA. Tricky.

Thanks, Nancy. I would have never known there was a difference by looking the the bar code numbers until now. I guess if I had bothered to read the fine print on the bottom of the coupon where it said that it was only valid at Rite-Aid Pharamcies, I wouldn't have run into this problem, but since it clearly said Manufacturer Coupon on it, didn't even think to. I'm surprised that Rite-Aid is allowed to get away with doing this. :(

"Also has anyone seen the Walmart commercial about saving over 13% compared to Harris Teeter? Certaninly not during Super Doubles!"

Not even during a regular week can they beat deals at HT with double coupons up to 99 cents! Especially smart shoppers who buy on sale with coupons, you will be WallyWorld every day of every week :)

It assumes people who do not use coupons, don't worry about sales etc. And sadly, there are many who shop weekly based on what they will use that week! I can't fathom shopping like that.

"Could someone help clarify this for me - how can a coupon be both a manufacturer coupon, yet a store coupon at the same time?"

You can tell when it truly is a store issued coupon only by looking at the bar code. Even though those Rite Aid coupons will say "Manufacturers Coupon" the bar code gives it away. I truly believe RA does that so that customers think they can't use a REAL manufacturers coupon with their coupon from their fliers! Because you CAN stack a RA coupon with a manufacturer coupon at RA providing it truly is not a manufacturer coupon and you can tell by looking at the bar code.

The bar code of a RA coupon will usually begin with a 0 or a 1 or some silly number. MQ's begin with a 5 or a 9 on the older style coupons and have NO numbers on the new bar codes.

Hope that doesn't confuse you.

Holy Moly! Went to CVS today because I had a $5 ECB due to expire tomorrow and so I wanted to use that against the 3/$10 12 pack coke products plus I wanted to use one free 12 pack coupon from cashing in coke points. Well, the cashier credited the free coke coupon for the full $4.99 instead of $3.34! I paid 35 cents for 3 12 packs and 34 cents of that was sales tax!

I'm doing a happy dance!

I purchased 2 Plum Amazings (dried fruit) and paid $1.93 each. Both had a tear off coupon for .55!! I was so excited since these are fairly new I had never seen any coupons for them until today and they are great!!
