Packy, I ordered a can storage system from shelfreliance.com. I'm totally satisfied with the system. You can choose from different sizes based on how much space you have available and most of the systems have a way to vary can sizes. Happy stockpiling!

momboozer,

I think I know of a better deal on the N&O for Sunday only than what you were quoted. If you want to send me an email at cmh156@yahoo.com, I can get back with you later with a price.

I had actually seen that idea somewhere online.... It would definitely be neater in my pantry. I can't stand all the clutter in there.

momboozer, I agree with scoutmomof2. That's crazy. You'd be better off going it at a store or out of a box.

smolder13 - you'll also find a coupon for Beech-Nut Goodies on Coupons.com for $1.00/1. Both that coupon and the $1.00/1 for the Beech-Nut Fruities On The Go can be used at Walmart who are selling both for just $1.27 each (making your out of pocket just $0.27 each.)

momboozer,

They wanted $141 for a year of Sunday? It is only $2 a week at the box. That's only $104.

I called the N&O today to cancel our paper after 20+ years. They offered me a deal for weekend or Sunday only. $151 for Sunday. No I said.. too much. There second offer was $141 for Sunday. Only $10 difference I asked?? Still too much. They said OK and I may now go into withdrawel come Sunday.

Whoever was looking for coupons for the Atkins frozen dinners from this past weekend's inserts, I just saw an additional coupon for them over at Coupons.com.

Now THAT is a very clever idea!!! Leave it to you to come up with that :)

"For those who are making the whole chickens in the crock pot: Do you leave the skin on, or remove it?"

I usually leave the skin on for cooking purposes and remove it after, but if you choose to remove the skin before cooking, turn the chicken upside down to prevent hardening of the meat due to lack of protection from the direct heat.

Of course if you cover it with liquid of some kind (applesauce layer, can of soup etc ) if your recipe calls for it, then skinless won't matter.
