Kathy-I will definitely look into that. I felt like such a terrible mom when it first started. We thought it was athletes foot since it was only on her feet, so we tried to keep her feet as dry as possible. When her toenails started getting loose we took her to the dr and he said it was ezcema and what we were doing was making it worse!! I felt awful!! Since then it's socks and shoes and cream and lotion everyday!

shelleycole, your daughter may have excessive yeast in her system. My youngest (now 16) had bad rashes on her body and itched so bad all the time (mainly back and bottom, behind knees, etc.) from the time she was born. One year she had it so bad on her shoulders that he looked like she had something serious. It looked like she had a bad sunburn that peeled and never healed. Then a friend suggested I give her acidophilus and caprylic acid. The acidophilus replenishes good bacteria and the caprylic diminishes the bad bacteria or yeast in the system. It took a good year but we finally got it under control much to her relief. This was about 6 years ago and now virtually has no sign of it now. Now we drink kefir shakes (high in acidophilus) to keep the good bacteria in check.
