Faye- I agree. But I am going to keep an eye out for them just in case, lol. I live right down the road from HH and we order from them on occasion.

ssemicolony - that is a bizarre and not very wide-reaching promotion. I am certainly not going to look through all my quarters for one date.

Canned pumpkin, 15 oz can, .75 or less is my goal (.49 at Walgreens this week with .50 coupon that was on Target.com recently)

Pie crust, unbaked, 9 inch my goal is as close to $1 as possible per crust (HT brand crusts are on sale this week for $1.25 - sold in a 2 pack for $2.50)

Evaporated milk (I use the Libby's pumpkin pie recipe which calls for evap milk not sweetened conden. milk because it is so expensive, as jdouglas mentioned), around .50 for the 12 oz of evaporated milk - on sale for .52 each at Walgreens this week with sale and coupons

    Hope that helps!

Hungry Howies from today until December 30th- If you have a quarter from 1973- you can get Howie bread for 25 cents! One per household per week!
They were founded in 1973 so this is their way of celebrating.

Barely got out from under work (OK, hardly work... I LOVE every minute) and finally got to HT. Found new peelies on the Buitoni fresh pasta for .55 which when doubled and BOGO were a great deal! Also, if any of you have Sunkist lovers in your family, like my DH (he likes strawberry- too funny!), the 12 packs are 4 for $10, which is crazy good compared to their regular price. I've seen them over $6... and I cringe :-)

bparrish, I think Aldi's had a good price on pumpkin, if I remember Faye's post correctly. Sweetened condensed milk is kind of pricey, though. I bet it's delicious, but is there another recipe you can use? I think sugar and half & half might be a cheaper alternative,

Faye - our women's group at church is collecting ingredients to make pumpkin pies for the rescue mission for Thanksgiving.
What's a good buy price for canned (15 oz) pumpkin; sweetned condensed milk & pie crust? Thanks!

Thanks for sharing Nanny113! Hopefully some other Smart Shoppers can score some of those good deals because of your post!

Halloween 90% off - Target behind Triangle Town Center. There are a bunch of the plastic Jack-o-lantern buckets, still quite a few large bags of mixed candy (Hershey's) that normally go for $14.99, some costume stuff (got a Monster's High costume for my granddaughter for next year - if she will wear it, but it was only $3) and a number of other various items.
