ClaytonCoupClipper: I would have your neighbor ask the person who delivers their mail why they are not getting a copy...that may solve it...LOL regarding your call to the N&O...nice!

  • ClaytonCoupClipper Oct 9, 2013

ncveteranswife: Thanks. Calling N&O didn't help here either. They said to call the marketing office because nothing in the mail is tied to the N&O?? (Ummm ... it says N&O Midweek Values right on the front!!) I get at least one coupon insert preview" in it every week sometimes more. Then I get those same inserts again in my Sunday paper. I LOVE getting it and my neighbor friend could really use them as well. She asked how I got it and I just can't figure it out.... frustrating. But I don't want to complain and stop getting it either. :(

ClaytonCoupClipper: We are Army (husband is retired). Nice to meet someone else on the blog that is military! I do know that if you have subscribed to the N&O (they publish the Midweek Values), they claim they send it to all folks that get the N&O, however, we use to get it, but never had a subscription to the N&O, so there you go...has me confused too :)

Thanks, Faye. Do you receive the Midweek Values??

ClaytonCoupClipper - Congrats on the first SavingStar payout!!

I usually get an Amazon GC as soon as I hit $5. Once they e-mail the Amazon GC code to me (which is usually in a day or two after making the request), I go to my Amazon account and enter the code and add the $$ to my account. Then, I save it up for gifts (usually the holidays at the end of the year). Honestly, I suggest that you get the payout as soon as possible. There is no added benefit to letting them hold your money and if they ever went out of business you probably would not ever see that money.

All, I just earned my first SavingStar payout... (Yay me!) Now, do you all normally take the $5 payout or do you wait for it to build up a little more?? Do my $$ expire? Thanks again everyone. This blog has been the biggest help to me in my couponing (next to Faye herself of course).

Thanks, ncveteranswife. (What branch BTW we are AF). Anyway, I have lived here two years and about 6 months ago the Midweek Values Started showing up in my mailbox. I don't remember doing anything that would have made it just start appearing after 18 months here. My neighbor also coupons and she says she doesn't get this in her mail. Just confused. Not complaining (in fact very thankful)... but confused. Thanks!

cokesburyfarm - my buy price for 50 Ziploc, Hefty or generic zipper sandwich bags is $1 or less. Ideally, I can get them for .50 with sales and super double coupons, which happened recently with the Hefty so I have a good stock of them right now.

My buy price for the gallon size is also $1 but you only get about 15 (freezer bags) or 20 (storage bags) in those boxes.

Savvysaver - my buy price for yellow and zucchini squash during the season is $1 per lb. Off season it is $1.50 or less/lb. I am not really a butternut squash eater, so don't have a buy price for you on that. Anyone else want to weigh in?
